Cant help you on prices im still running the original one on mine -
Dont know i saw a mk4 outside FORMULA 1 in Brighton with them on black car black wheels. i guess thay come in black so would need spraying but the old beetles run skinny tyres so i would assume the wheels are quite narrow

Why should you put down how much you think it is worth surely they should look at all the photos history etc and then tell you what they think it is worth then you argue the toss until you agreed on a VALUE lol

Do you mean you cant turn it off after replacing the battery. Is the immobiliser with the alarm or the standard vw one

if thats a clamp either side i would assume just the flexy depends how easy it comes apart

have you tried looking at mk4 steelies they would be a sensible width i think the beetle ones a a bit skinny

It is the same old story something is only worth as much as someone is willing to pay. You must have thought it was worth 4K to pay that much for it

there not worth anymore than any other but his is very low mileage for the year. As nigel says there were very few on a J plate but that does not mean they are worth more than any other. Highlines are still the most sort after VR

it dosnt have to travel to a satellite, GPS works from more than 1 satellite to accuratly determin your position otherwise it would tell you to turn left 3 seconds too late. have you fitted the rears yet i tried fitting 205/55/16 and they fould the rear standard struts so could not fit -
you could use the old ones till you get new ones then swap them over one by one

i can give nige a start up with his pads while he drains the oil. i have tools trolley jack and axle stands do you need a drill for the strut braces i only have a mains one my cars ok so i'm there to lend a hand collect parts.

correct you only need to change therm if you find the camber is too bad and then you get the camber adjust bolts but they are expensive my mate needed those on his raddo
