If its the water pump buy new if its the tensioner check a thread on here that shows how to grease the bearing and if its the AC pump send me your part number and I will do it £79 delivered with 3 months warranty.

  8. OK Issue is the VR sounded a bit chainey and as there is 6 months tax left on I I though I will just do the rails up top and run her for a the course of the tax. The rail wasnt actually too bad when I got in there but I popped it back together and drove her home. Needless to say it was a bit off in the early revs and when going round one of my usual roundabouts I dropped her to 2nd and floored it as usual but got a complete loss of power and then all at once, and the car still sounded chainey on the top end. With this I am thinking arse you have skipped a tooth when slackening the chain. S

A bit tough even getting a low level jack under it:- Also dont forget to slacken the bolts before getting her in the air as I have a habbit of forgetting The Culprit Done, Also got rid of the "Modified Airbox" The car sounds a fair bit quieter which makes long journeys at 60 far more enjoyable when the kids are in the car:- Also have an issue I did the top guide rail today and put the engine back together. She seems to be a
  11. I am not sure the E is the predecessor to the C?? Once all sensors are confirmed by vag com to be good get your original pump fitted. Then clear Fault codes on your ECU. I had a customer looking one of these pumps and they were quoted over £1000 for it from VW. If that doesnt sort it a lad has done some soldering fix on his pump.

  13. No idea mate I just know as people have bought VR engines off me on an exchange basis and when the y show up with their Sharan engine and compare they are completely different up top!
  14. The Sharan has a liquid cooled cylinder head with extra ports for the cooling system to flow. There is also extra breathers on the manifold of the Sharan. The blocks are the same AAA but the heads are different.
