  14. Hey Don hows things mate polishing and porting throttle bodies will prob see you enough bhp to count on your left hand. Best place to start on a budget is a good service. Also something over looked by a lot of people which I have always found good improvements with is the cleaning of your cam sensor. This is a nice easy weekend job. This will help claw back some of the stock BHP you may have lost over the years. Then again move with your air filter and exhaust but as said you may get 10bhp for a lot of cash spent. If you can go for a BMC CDA it will prob be better. Good luck and let us kn
  15. Whats your heaters like?? Are they good and hot? Dave
  16. Replace the damaged rail making sure the chain doesnt slip a tooth on the lower cog. Then replace the cover and screw in the tensioner bolt. Turn the CRANK shaft 2 turns and line it up TDC then check your cams if all looks good finish putting the engine back together. Please read this fully before attempting anything though http://forums.vwvortex.com/showthread.php?1264409
  17. I love Dragon Green looks mint mate really stunning fair play
  18. Wow engineers round here will charge the earth for simple work Pete but if you have friends in the industry its always a help.
  19. Forgive me if I'm wrong but doesn't the bolt go through the caliper carrier into the hub at the back? I think the bolt that has sheared is the larger 2 holding the carrier to the hub not the slider bolts? But I could be mistaken.
  20. For the price of getting such work done by an engineering unit it may be worth buying a 2nd hand hub. We sell them on the golf for £30 + delivery so surely someone may have one for similar money.
