It'll be good to see what everyones like with a drink inside um. That way, I'll appear normal lol. Still be the no bottle rule too I guess. Beer makes me feel sick before it ever does anything with regards to making me jolly.

I've decided I'm not bringing my better half as she never shuts the hell up. On a side note, does anyone fancy being my pillow lol....j/k. I'm also going to try and get my engine bay cleaned for this. Craggsy, you taking food there or buying in plymouth? Keeping my fingers crossed that no problems arise with the car because I've just spent the day replacing brakes, rad, wheel bearings and more....so I should be a lot happier on the way down than I was to Springfest.

2nd gear, full throttle, hitting 3k and up....Aston Martin DB9 As daft as it sounds, I had one of these accelerate next to me and he was giving it some.....obviously, he started to pull away like I was standing still, but the noise from his engine sounded no different to mine. It sounded the same as I lifted off my throttle to listen. I alos guess that's why VR6's turn heads when driving through town and giving it some. People expect a super car instead of the burbling subaru and find a shed lol

I like your input guys. I'm not 100% yet....I'm torn between the jetta(being an old mans is fine till I floor it), V6 4mo or a polo. That raddo is a beater, it's everything but the engine, that isn't running.

I was looking at those options too. Mk4 golf looked appealing. V6 4MO means I made a pointless thread lol. Mk2 was one I was looking at too, just depends on all bodywork mods needed. MK1 is a lot of welding as I'm aware and cutting away. Polo, to me, would be an option, but I'm 6ft 5....

Basically, the VR6 I have was bought as a non runner and took me around 3 months to sort out....internals, bent valves, HG and such changed....I did myself as a project, a VERY small amount each week used to buy certain parts. It worked anyway and I loved working on the engine. I'm looking at buying a MK4 shell or a smaller engined mk4 and as a project, dropping a VR6 lump into it.....but turning this one into a beast lol.....all the mods to bump up the power, a daily driver with FI. I just wandered if this was possible without lots and lots of welding and messing about.....it would take me ar

It depends on what roads you'll use. If you go down the M69 then the M6 till M42, then I can meet you at Corley services just after M6 J3 - J4. I'll buy a hand set.
