Cheers dude, I like things moving on but sometimes relying on others slows things up it's all part of the fun I suppose, big Stew is getting right in about it now!!!!! :-) So today was the day for big Stew to lay on the fresh mulberry paint, here is some photos he sent earlier! As I was wanting my side indicators deleted I managed to get US bumpers cut outs for the indicators to be relocated here, front plate has been smoothed too!..... It's all taking shape very quickly and I'm looking forward to seeing it in the flesh real soon!
  2. Cheers dude, aye that noise too, only did about 300miles in it before it went in for work! Lol just back from the Bodyshop discussing more plans for this! We have now decided to treat inside the arches with a paint finish and also remove beams, wishbones etc and get them powdercoted prior to refitting, this then leads to rear calliper painting to match front upgraded brembos and new colour coded hoses too! Here are a few snaps from today.......... Og wings, arches rolled, indicators deleted and sealed......... More updates next week! :-)

  4. Some more progress on this yesterday, I'm going to head out and see big stew as we might be taking this a step further! Rust repairs......... Arch prepped......... Wee bit of colour........ Modified tailgate now painted.......... 5.23am and I can't sleep for thinking about vr6, mulberry paint and powder coating parts! Lol.
  5. Yup it's a strange place to rust dude?!?!? The full rear bumper will be painted man ;-)

Went out to Stews Bodyshop tonight to see the car and talk about some repairs, very few areas that need attention, any surface blisters were taken back to bare metal and will be treated accordingly! Some more progress photos....... Rusted area at door hinge...... Bunnit, bumper and trims in primer..... More updates as I get em?!?! :-)
  7. yesterday Big Stew started the bodywork......... Rear arches rolled......... Bonnet back to bare metal......... Grill prep'd........... Door and tailgate removed........ The only major rust repair........ I'm now excited to see work started and very happy with big Stews progress, more updates as I get em?!?!

  9. After 20 years of working on the tools (carpenter), I finished up on Friday. For the last 16 years I've had my own business and now its time to go work for a company. My new job starts on Monday as a Contracts Manager, working all over Scotland supervising joinery sub-contracters in house building. So this leads me to a new car. At first my plan was to buy a used Golf and set a budget, after an afternoon of searching the budget was out the window and opted for a new car instead.
