  1. Hey guys, got quite a stock of mk3 bits and bobs, more to be listed still so feel free to have a browse http://stores.ebay.co.uk/Slammed-Dubs
  2. Being on late shifts this week I have had the mornings to work on the car, despite getting up early the time just goes too quickly, I can't see this build being competed by UD that's for sure which was what I initially hoped. nothing has seen a welder and I don't have a sprayer lined up yet haha, good things come to those who wait hey, quality doesn't come from rushing This morning I split the Gearbox from the engine, all ancillaries and brackets off the block, labelling and clippy bagging all Bolts and other bits to make my life a ton easier. The VR6 engine looks so lost on its own, its so n
  3. Heater matrix is going full stop and not being replaced, being a fair weather car I don't see any point in running a heater, all it did before was piss me off on hot days Rain tray is still undecided mate due to legality issues
  4. Haha you can say that again. This is the first and last time I never buy a car modified by someone else. Cheers mate means alot, i was pretty damn close to selling it on but as I've fitted V2 it wouldn't have seen what i would have been looking for price wise, So thought sod it lets do things properly, cut my losses and have some fun building what I hope to be a really good car, that's fun to drive, work on and take to shows
  5. Not much of an update but the car is 100% stripped now to a bare shell. every wire and clip has been removed and accounted for inside and out I was going to leave the interior looms in situ but as the rear light loom has had a trailer loom hardwired into it in the past I wanted to replace it with a unbutchered version. I'm also not happy with the Splicing of the indicator stalks and clock looms, so a Kufatec clock loom will be ordered, and the stalks re wired with new sections of loom sourced from my breakers. Also all of the heater control Sections of the loom and old Mk3 plugs will be remo
  6. Thanks for the positive comments guys gives me that little bit more motivation to get this one nailed to a T
  7. Okay so a lot of you will probably know the car and have seen it it on the cover of Golf+ a couple of years ago. I bought it at the start of this year from an Edition38 crew member with the intentions of keeping it how it was and showing it, but unfortunately the car wasn't half of what it was talked up to be, being a typical "show car" nice on the outside not so pretty underneath. Anyway here's a few photos since ownership at a few of the shows We have made it too this year: Coombe action day: Ultimate dubs: Players classic: Edition 38: Since owning the car I have thrown a fair old whack
