hi guys,dont know if this is the right place to post but ah well,i have had my 4 motion for a week now and what a car so much more refined than the mk3 maybe not quite as quick but a lot more quieter,the grip is awesome in the wet,dont know how many mk4 4x4 owners on here but let me know how you find them to the mk3,i suppose i had better change my name now as well. regards

try ringing your insurance if you are fully comp,it does not affect your no claims bonus,or a scrapyard they will charge about £30 last time my mate got one,but they are bonded in and a pain to get out and put back in with special bonding glue,you dont want it to fall out!

try opening the handle and flicking the catch back at the same time to engage the catch back into position,might work.

i had an audi that did that when i removed the cat,i think that the cat absorbs it so you dont notice it until you take the cat out,i put the cat back in and the smoke went,hope this helps regards

hi guys the wife wants get a newer car and she likes the 4 motion,what due you guys think to the compared to the vr6?i have a 97 highline on 127000 and the 4 motion is a 03 plate with 53000 miles on it up for £8000,good price or not?give us an idea on what you lot would do?buy it or keep the highline? regards

i have fitted one before, you have to buy a no blow sleeve from vw to slide over both ends of the pipes,and remove the towing eye to accomodate the tail pipe,(if you have not already done that is?)

i dont think so due to the weight of the vr engine?

i think its something to do with the lights,i cant remember the exact name for it but it has something to do with the side light resisitor when the ignition is turned on it limits the power to the side lights,mine locates behind the bumper just underneath the light unit.

i think it is legal, you just have to be carefull of the speed, just convert it by looking at a mph speedo,if you buy an import which my mate did when they come into the country they have the speedo changed as a matter of coarse,for ease in this country.

hi guys just a quick question if any one could shed some light on it,i have a 1997 vr6 highline and the washer bottle seems bigger than anyone eles ,it takes 7 litres and the other ones ive seen only take 4 litres,any ideas? cheers.

could be a couple of things maybe plug leads or the coil pack both are prone to damp weather,try and spraying wd40 on the leads and coil pack first to see if there is any water in there.

very bad here,closed work early just about got home and the roads are still closed,at least the vr was still going strong through 2ft of water.

have a look at the door seals,they are very common to go flat or perish,that would give a wind noise by the ears.

i got mine cheeper because im in the trade so i got about 15% off retail price,you are not being ripped off mate.
