Yep, thats right, im kinda lucky to still be in one piece and so is the car. A couple of weeks ago the front left went bang @ 45mph and had to fit the space saver. The inner wall just blew out. Then today on the way back from Bristol doing approximately 70mph The o/s front went bang...i managed to slow the car down and get it to the hard shoulder. Then put my trusty Space Saver on again, by this time it was 5.00, so i managed to crawl along the M5 to Exeter and get GUPA-P to fit a matching Falken tyre... But i feel very lucky! (If you know what i mean)

The tow bar will be going, but if i remove it now i will have a big hole in the bumper which will look stupid.

Do i have a chance in hell fitting 18" wheels to my DUB? Tyre size 215/35 r 18.

After owning the car for around 6 weeks now, ive decided to take some quick snaps of it. Not a fan of taking pictures but thought id better get some up. Oh and one of my old mk2 golf gti too for good measure! Will be getting a respray in March/April time, new rims, awaiting my German plates STILL (3 weeks), Twin 3" exhaust, debadged grill coming this week.

Savage mate. i know how you feel though, its been happening to me in my area for about 3 years. Ended up putting up CCTV cameras and nothing bad has happened to my car since (touch wood). I know the gutting/anger feeling all to well now after ive had the following items stolen off my drive: - Two sets of Crystal big bumper mk2 indicators - Mk2 side indicators - PS2 and a load of dvds - Mtech door strips from my 3 series So far nothing from the VR, but im sure its only going to be a matter of time!

Where did you get the grill from? I've seen loads on the bay, GSF offered me one for £36...just worried about quality.

It may have gone into safety mode in order to stop damage to other parts of the car. Just a thought.

Im in the same opinion about this, my mate has a 328 bmw pushing near on 240bhp...but he has fitted the stretch look tyres too. I cant understand it.
