I have recently noticed a noise when turning my steering wheel. Sounds like there is grit or something behind the wheel itself? Is this a common problem and easily fixed? Thanks in advance.

Sorry, i have to disagree with Jon on the ebay bulbs. I stupidily bought two sets off there, the five pound ones, and after about 2 weeks where the bulb had heated up the bulbs silver covering had bubbled off. It might of just been my bad luck, but who knows. I got mine from a mate @ Carnoisseur Plymouth for £6 a set and have done the job nicely on the fronts and rears. Hope this is some help. Sorry Jon!

Sounds like a starter motor to me. Mine went recently and it didnt give me any symtoms prior to breaking. -
Just wondering if there is something i can do, or something the site can administer but when i click on a link i always have to press back to get back onto the forum. It would be good if it would automatically open a seperate window then i can just close it. Thanks. (h)

Um, maybe worth checking it out, i was told that the wheels i have on their arent made for that car as the spignot rings were the wrong sizes. They are only winter wheels, so looks like i might be changing them sooner than expected. :S

The tyres had the correct ratings, camber, tracking and balancing had been done recently. It wasnt through wear, just two very poorly made tires according to the chap in GUPA-P. So now i have two new tires!

That Golf was on ebay when i was looking for a VR6. He wanted something like £2500 for it IIRC. That is why i dont go to cruises anymore, i feel embarrassed to be in the same company as these people.

Some cheapo tyres, they all had really good tread on them so i was a little gutted, especially as im trying to save for my respray, but hey...the car is ok and so am i!

There was a mk3 golf gti in cleanspares this week, p reg so it will have round ended side repeater holes.

I dont want to be spending anymore than £30 either on mats, just need to decide what colour i would like..i have a cream interior! Was thinking about cream with a black piping. :S
