have seen it done on a f*rd but it was used the other way round with the supercharger used to spool up the turbo.bit like the golf gt. it worked but the pipework under the bonnet was immense. how much power do you want?!!
wierd. i put a new one on mine about 5 months ago because it leaked and sounded rough. comes on when ignition is switched on and goes off when ignition is switched off except if fans are on, then it goes off when the fans go off. i thought this is what was meant to happen to stop hotspots inside the head when the coolant is hot??? :-|
my abs light is doing this at the mo.did it 3 years ago too. had 2 of the sensors changed then an independant garage diagnosed abs ecu. changed that. problem solved. till now. think i'll bung a secondhand one on myself. i'm sorry mate but i think you're looking at a big bill.
hi guys.need to replace the abs module on the old mobile but as you guys probably know i need to disconnect some brake lines to do so. any tips to bleed the brakes out again. the last car i bled out was my old xr2 which was only just advanced enough to use disks on the front so the task looks rather daunting!! cheers in advance.
hi guys. seeing as my abs ecu is completely tossed(can i say that?) i was wandering how hard they were to fit yourself as the last one cost me the best part of 400 beer tokens to get supplied and fitted. also are all mk3 golf abs systems the same or has the vr got an uprated one. ie, can i rob an ecu off a gti? cheers in advance.
have been looking at the group buy on the schrick vgi. just wondered if i would need to remap my car after fittng.also if i opt for a set of cams later on will it need mapping again or is it better to do it all at once? cheers.
my vr had this problem. took it to stealers to put on vagcom. came back as faulty sensor. was it fook. ended up being abs ecu. lovely. loads of cash.. good luck with it mate
looks clean mate. good to see its got mudflaps. may look a bit anal but it stops the stonechips below the bumpstrip. mines peppered. welcome to vr ownership.
my vr has done that twice. parked up after some cainage and applied handbrake. all hunkydory. about 10 minutes later when the brakes have cooled down off it went down the road. thank christ i was there at the time and after a frantic moment with my remote got in and stopped it. easy done.
