  1. whats the general opinion on wheel design? I am looking for a set of 17's but not sure what ones. I like the BBS RC's (the ones from the anniversary gti) I also like the audi RS4 style. Or do you think 5-spokes suit the VR's?? Any views would be appreciated, thanks guys.
  2. nice one cheers guys
  3. hi, i was wondering if the haynes manual for the VR6 exists? Ive looked in so many places around where i live and cant seem to find one? If not haynes, does any one know of any other manual for them? cheers guys!!
  4. do u mean the passenger rear works perfectly on another car with your mates fron switch? If not, then replace the front switch with a new one?? Could be a wiring problem too.
  5. i have just recently fitted a magnex cat back system (£288 from ebay delivered), really easy to fit. Hardest part was getting old system off. The fit and quality of the magnex is brilliant. The sound is also very nice. Its quite quiet, but in a very good way. Purs nicely at low speeds and then gives a nice wee roar at higher speeds. The reason i went with Magnex is becuase of the sound, i didnt want anything loud at all. They are well worth it.
  6. cheers. Got one from incarexpress in the end. Very good prices.
  7. was my sunroof seal, fixing soon!!
  8. checked my sunroof and yeh, its the front drain on it. All the water that goes down that drain hole goes into the car instead of coming out the drain hole in behind the passenger front door. Have blocked the hole up for now until i can get it stripped down and find the blockage. Cheers!!!!
  9. thanks alot. Really appreciate your time and help with this. Speak soon no doubt.
  10. alright for some away on holiday, the weather here is rotten. Got the headunit on Tuesday, came with ISO, and fully english manual. Fitted it with no probs, now at last i can listen to my own music, woohoo!! Enjoy your holiday mate.
  11. nice one, well played. Ive got the original lights on mine. Il check the door seals, scuttle panel etc too and hopefully find the problem cuz it aint good news is it. Cheers.

  13. hi guys, ive just noticed i have this problem too behind my passenger seat. My car is a door though, only noticed it in this heavy rain. Jonvr6highline, have u sourced the problem yet??
  14. nice one guys, cheers. Will check that next dry day. cheers.
  15. hi, ive got a leek in my passenger side foot well, it drips down the left hand side, from just under the glove box area. Any ideas where the source of the problem could be? Its not alot that comes in, only if its heavy rain or when im washing it a wee bit comes in. Thanks alot.
  16. After browsing the net i decided i fancied one with a usb input port on it (never knew they existed), would be handy. After looking more on the net and at halfords i found one i liked : http://www.incarexpress.co.uk/view_product.php?partno=KDG821 Halfords price = £299.99 Online price = £137.00 DELIVERED!!! Quite a good price for a not too bad headunit eh mate? What you think of it?
  17. Its a sony CD changer, just the one that came standard with the car. I think im just going to buy a new headunit anyway but will get a new cable aswell in case it is that. Yeh i always burn my own cd's, at least you get the music you want that way eh will let you know what headunit i get and hopefully it all works fine once in!! thanks alot again for your help, sure you have better things to do.
  18. Alright guys, im having to buy a new headunit, any ideas of where i should get one from? Heard of any good companies etc?? Thanks
  19. Right, tried a new/different headunit, and it works fine. Only thing is it doesnt have a multi changer connection on it, just a single CD slot!! But at least i know i can play cd's now at an acceptable volume Do you think it was the headunit or the wiring to the multi changer which was causing the problem? I want o buy a new headunit, prefrably one with the multi changer connection, or should i stick to the single CD slot??# Thanks so much for your help, im so pleased i can now listen to my cd's again.
  20. trying another headunit tomorrow (thursday) guys, will let you know how it goes
  21. haha typical thanks anyway mate! I didnt cut any wires at all, thy are all still in the original block. I'l pinch my sisters headunit for a bit and see if that works (never thought about doing that, haha). I find it weird though mate that it works on the radio fine, through all speakers etc, its only when i select the CD? Anyway, il give another head unit a try and get back to you, probably try that today or tomorrow, Again, thanks alot for your help.
  22. I had a custom powerflow on my old mk3, way too loud!! I fitted (on thursday) a cat back Magnex system to my vr highline (£288 delivered from ebay, so so easy to fit), and its awesome, sounds great, nice and quiet at low revs but sounds great when giving it some!! I noticed a good difference in response and its also much more keen to build up the speed quicker through all the gears. I went for the twin 3" pipes. Going to get a de-cat pipe soon too.
