Well i just got news from the garage (not good!) No1 piston has blown itself into 3 piece's and scored the chamber +o( Im now looking at a complete rebuild and rebore £££££££££'s Good news is that the mechanic said the engine was one of the cleanest he's ever seen, no sludge or nowt and it's obviously been well maintained and serviced regulary ! Im now off to pimp myself on egay to make funds lol

Soz Pete, but as you probably know my Vr's +o( sick :-( Had the head tested and it's looking like either a dropped piston or burnt valve :-* So im probably not going to be there in the VR, but i may turn up for a pint and to get my fix of veedubs ( (au)

Just bought a compression tester and the results are as follows no1-0psi no2-165psi no3-165psi no4-170psi no5-165psi no6-165psi This seems a bit strange to me (bbut she is my first v6) but i cant understand why there is no compression at all on no1 only???? As when i hsve had h/gaskets go on four cylinder engines, compression seemed low on 2 cylinders :-* Could anyone shed some light on this plz, am i correct in thinking that there is some other problem or is this how the results should be when a vr's h/gasket goes?? Nope she's used no water, and she misfires like a tractor, and i changed the plug in no1 and that came out wet 2?mmmmm

I was driving home along the motorway today, and suddenly realised that i had a loss of power also loads of pure white smoke coming out the back.I slowed down and pulled over, right she wasn't firing on all 6,when i gave it some gas she smoked LOTS! There is no evidence of any contaminants in either the water or oil,she hasn't used any oil or water but she did get up to 114 oil temp! Anyway i crawled home about 60 and she didin't drop below 104 in oil temp. I have taken all the plugs out and they seem to be coked up except no1 cylinder where the plug was melted and the tip soaked! I tryed ano
