    Probably got blocked drain holes down the sides of the wings by the scuttle pannel, whip the pollen filter out, if thats soaking then the water has gone down your air intake and leads into the passenger footwell,

    I find that T1R's seem too go a bit hard after a while, also mine wore very badly on the edges, and if im being really fussy I dont like the way the tread pattern doesnt go all the way to the edge of the tyre instead finishing in the centre section which makes wheels look skinny,

    Well put it this way mines all modded on my mk4 and I had too really puh mine too keep up with my neighbours mk5 derv around some winding B roads! If you did do the suspension on the mk5 it must be awesome! Think the independant rear suspension makes a hell of a difference, vw spent a fortune on the mk5 getting the handeling right, the chassi is so stiff,

    and the mk5 platform handles like its on rails from standard, quite gutting that a standard mk5 is as good as a tweaked mk4 in the bends!
