  1. lets see who else wants to meet there mate , early is good, so if nero needs to be at my house a little earlier then i can ask him, but lets wait for any other takers , then arrange a time, those services are about 20 mins from my house i guess
  2. Yes mate thats fine for me, Nero is heading to my house for a fry up about 10am, then we will be ready
  3. Is there any chance of getting the thumbnails back instead of the links? .
  4. Nice job guys!, nice to see it was a success , and hats off you paul, nice figures!!. Shame I couldn't make it!, hopefully next one
  5. And I can see no mention of FI from you, so again I don't know I'd this applies.
  6. I really don't know the answer to this, but in my jap past I have only ever used aeromotive or SX fpr's, purely as they are reliable... Last thing you want is to be running lean due at full boost to a cheap substandard fpr.... Whether these are good for a Vr application I don't know, hopefully someone will help you on this
  7. Opinions considering the styling/bodyshell, rust, handling or whole package etc?, i only ask because engines make hell of a difference..... i mean for example the mk3 GTI 8v is quite poo in comparison to the mk2 GTI 8v . Agree the mk4 is probably my least favourite, but that said i love the 4mo!, tricky question to be honest . Honestly when the MK3 came out, i didnt like it, didnt like the styling..... but it's becoming apparent at the moment, present day, it is starting to become a well loved classic shape, and looks great to me now! . Build quality was a good as ever, but the rust is a shock
  8. dumps back in before the charger but after the maf, i'm kinda used to jap FI
  9. As i see it, my delicate antiquated ol' charger needs all the help it can get to stay alive
  10. Thanks, its kind of a quick fix, but an investigative one..... hopefully it''ll be sorted properly asap
  11. Now im confused....... i borked my thread , ignore me . And thanks for your help though guys
  12. hahaha Ok i stripped the bay down, charger off, cleaned, redid the pipework, checked things over. i put it back together, and it runs very well, it did have a boost leak somewhere but i dont know where...... the dv is ok also. car sounds different now also, but is boosting better.... Only main differences are that i didnt do the belt up quite so tight, and new pipework and clamps. Ran the car fast and hot and so far no oil has leaked yet.... In taking stuff apart i had a good look about...... and the oil definately came from the seal, i have no verified that that was the only place it came
  13. I would go Borbet A's all day long mate, but that obviously is my personal taste
  14. Ok so I'll be spending as much time this evening on the car, cleaning this area and checking it all out. Fingers crossed it doesn't rain, and I can get a few other bits done too
