  1. all my vr´s have done about 1km more pr. liter runnig 97/98 compare too 95.
  2. that weight saving,is like taking 100kg off the car. so ofcourse you can feel the diff. that pedal feeling you have kev,that meight be du too your car being born with the 280mm,cause i had 2 vr before this one and they where both like that,but this one beong oe 288mm is 100 times better then they old setup,maily being they are 25mm thick rather then 22mm. i like it that yours is 28mm,that whould men they can with stand some heat. good iam jullis you have all the goodis i want charger,nice very light wheels H&R(iam saving at the moment but it keeps breaking down on me so it´s a very long
  3. the retur doesn´t have a one way valve,only the one too the olie cooler,if it only a half a liter(0,5) then it´s no biggy,cause there is still 0,5liter too min. mark.but as i understand it the charger does this with the olie so if you have both then there is a very good reasen too flip the cooler. but when mounting the other way it will give you an increase in olie capastive,that´s a plus.
  4. well i you mount it with the pipes down,the you can´t count on the dip stick cause when your car is started,the cooler will need about aliter too fill,and every time you turn the car off it runs back in too the enginen,so the is as risk that you will run with too little olie on the motor,the positiv thing is every time you change the olie it all comes out. if you mount i with the pipes up,the first time you fill up with olie u will need a liter more,cause u need too fill the cooler.here you can count on the dip stick. i wouldn´t fitt it with the pipes down cause you never know if the enginen

  6. i have one too he he.if you like the normal vr you´r will love the syncro. the pistons are 82mm insted of 81mm,then the cams(i think) the ecu i diff. exhaust i wery diff. 61 liters fuel tank insted off normal 55,the rear suspension i also very diff.
  7. well the hartmann is 910euro´s in germany,it´s alot iknow but it fitt´s 200% and the sound is superb. but i gues it whould be cheaper for you GB guy´s to get a custom exhaust,since you have somany places that do that over there.but for mi there is no subsituet for a hartmann.

  10. have in the 2 previus front wheel driven vr´s,seen 118 on long trashes on german motorways.
  11. øøøhhh okey i had 2 old cars 1992 and 1993 models and they where just over the ashtray. my current car is 1995 obd 2 plug(not obd 2 ecu)and has the plug where you say maybe right hand drive is diff. then

  13. no thats obd 2,obd 1 is just above the ashtray thoose blind covers next to the heated rear screen.
  14. my washer is not stacked it´s 6mm thick hens thats why i make them my self,it´s where the washers are used i that i ment it only touches 2 places,the bolts u link too is crap compared too a good quallity 6edge bolt,whitch i link to.
  15. well first off if you have looked at the brakes it only touches 2 places,so no real need for a spacer,hens the washer,second those allan bolts are crap compared to 6 edge bolts,the rear ones always brakes,when u change the disc,i can also get the allan bolts the only come in 3 diff. strengses 8.8,10something and 12.2,i always uprade my rear ones when changing cause oe are only 8.8 ore 10.something.and that number i have given is an genuien vw bolt only longer,it´s a good quallity bolt an it will still be a quallity bolt only resized.and too the washers again mine are made from ss,ore a good q
  16. i found a german site a coupel of days ago,with a complet set off oe numbers(typikol me i forgot the site´s name !sad ). a lokal machine shop can do it in 15-30min. not very hard i just gor some normal bolts m12 in stainlees steel,but i think i will order those bolts so it´s all oe. it was just an offer so no biggy.

  18. 4 longer bolts n909 99 701,they are 50mm,need too be recut too 41/42mm. i could make thoose washers but iam i denmark and have holiday til after easter. but if there nobody else will, ill do them,for 10 pounds incl shipping,you don´t send the money but pay vr6 pete them so i can up grade my membership.
  19. the biggest problem is when you get out in 30-60 days,is if you didn´t do it right the will have destroyed the car. there are 2 things you don´t mess with and thats a mands lunch and his car.if peopele do that the gloves are off.

  21. i got my new switch put in last friday,and it helped on mine,toke half an hour so that´s like 25pounds for fitting and it cost 30-40 euro´s,but since last summer ihave changed the fuel pump(died because the filter had not been changed)but the relay(after run one) first didn´t help,the a new fuelpressure regulator(didn´t help but then every thing in the fuel system is new)had my injectors cleaned when i had my engine rebuild.kate get the new uprated switch it´s totaly black,the old ones are white the one in mine was inbetween half black and half white.
  22. good god i hate you(me wants) iam still waiting for the weather too be better so i can put my summer wheels on,i bought a very cheap set off 312mm in januar on ebay 300 euro´s complet shipped and everything(i haven´t got 16" winter wheels yet so have too wait). can we hear the price ore is it a classified.
  23. there is no subsistuet for a hartmann exhust,fitt´s perfekt every time and for the front wheel driven boy´s it´s a woping 70mm(the pipe).
  24. hi love the grill,i have the old one that you can´t get any more the one with the eyebrows. i will paint my the bit the holed black part during the summer.
