    was there a wire attached to it? was up by the front? because mk3 cats have a bit on the cat that sticks out and after a while corrodes and blows like a f""k usually just weld up the end if its the same bit were talking about. but ive never seen a lamba probe become de-attached before pic would be good if poss and if u aint decked to the floor.

    it is a bit lumpy but i no my leads are f..cked as well though but mpg is max 20.0 an to day it stunk of fuel is that the black thing with the plug by the filter then.

    im sure ive seen that on ebay but it not made by samco just type samco in bring up quite a bit.

    na its not decated whats the maf the bit with the plug near the air filter would this explian my low mpg. any other ideas if is not that there expensive should this show up on the vag-com if i take it to some were to get checked.

    i had my emmisions done today and the min is mean to be 0.20 and mine was 1.12 see the problem and ov wouldnt go through and when reving it you could smell the fuel and some smoke to go with it any ideas how to fix this. !sad

    ye i think you are both def right i can hear it in the car too with the bonnet shut if this is on its way out could this cause the prob i have with the wayer coming out that little over flow hole in the side of the expan tank.

    ok when i first turn my key i get this very loud grumbling/bubbling sound ive got somebody to turn the key and i had a listen it sounds like its coming from that big coil of wires sort of at the back on the right hand side the bunch that looks like you can twist the black bit and pull it apart should it make this sound that loud as it is kinda loud

    ive had a look for my port it 95 m but cant find it ive looked behind the ash tray and behind all of the blanks above the ash tray and cant find any help any body got a 95 and found theres

    that seems at bit expensive to me i had a cat back made by powerflow for my mk4 turbo cat back with dual exit 4in pipes as i had a r32 kit on it 500

    ye it a small hole dont think its for any thing has a few mk3 gti come into my work with that prob just welded it for them.
