  1. I'd say that's about on the money for the milage. Biggest concern would be the timing chains. If they haven't been done, budget £550-£750 Have a look at our buyers guide before you go look.
  2. prepare for the worst and hope for the best :-) still looking good for an October weekend though. Still undecided which beast will be coming. Either way will see you all at 9.
  3. a bit left, and down a bit, from the gear box mount. when I first put the valver back on the road mine was disconnected - can't remember doing that or why I would - and the fuel gauge was a bit random. reconnected the speed sensor, and filled her up with petrol and the fuel sorted itself out. Might have been a coincidence.
  4. at least he searched first. have you tried cleaning the contacts of the speed sensor plug. it's low down so is prone to grime.
  5. LOL, another VR6OC tune and test day :-) Has Ben booked our usual hard standing?
  6. no, it's not. but i have been to Pirtek and have a length of hydraulic hose of the right diameter. Just a matter of seeing if I can get it on without too much of a kink. No worries about the stand. it was a last minute thing and makes me feel better coming in the valver which has literaly been a shed since Easter.
  7. that'll be down to the code update. The default for that section is 10, Pete tweaked it on the last install.
  8. LOL, you are going to get yourself banned for showing up supercars.
  9. the VR is now looking unlikely. The PAS hose i need is on back order, so it'll be two weeks at least. And I have been warned that it may be obsolete
  10. I testify to the result on TG's Nadia! :-) the VR6 is called Bex. the plastics on Nadia are still greyer than John Major. i did leave too much on last time and she is now peeling a bit. but still black.
  11. do we have a stand or are we just parking up? the vr might have to come out one last time for a stand if there is an award.
  12. looks like I hit a big stone on my back lane and nicked a hole in the lowest pipe. has come of nice and easy and I will use the oppurtunity to replace another which looked gammy, How much hydraulic fluid am I going to need for a complete fill up?
  13. looks like it's going to be a crazy video.
  14. 'cos of the grinding noise I initially checked the level with both eyes closed. was that alright?
  15. resevoir is all empty and there's a fluid patch under the pump. think it might be just a pipe. need to have a closer look. but assuming it is can i just fill it up or is there some sort of bleeding required?
  16. if unplugging the maf didn't make a difference, and it running rich it well could be the cause. even on the share ware version you can look at measurement blocks which give you readings and timings. you can monitor theO2 sensor and injector open times as some indication of fuelling.
  17. other than doktor avalanche. or am I just showing my age?
  18. as long as i don't end up inside the wicker man for being the outsider.
  19. I saw bens pictures of the last night. did take me back. could almost smell the chemical smoke.
