    The button by the mileometer selects a(nother) trip meter which can be reset by holding the button in. The two small buttons the other side set the hours and mins of the clock. The top one does hours. And for completeness, the button on the end of the MFA stalk changes which option is displayed. There are a number of bars on the display which indcate which measurements is currently displayed.

    The early engines had distributors rather than coil packs.

    The two most obvious ( school boy errors ) are not tightening the spark plugs enough, often made by VW techs, and not putting the right lead on the right plug. I see yours is a '92. Is it a dizzy block?

    Camping is free. You just pay £15 to get in to the show. We are hoping to get a VR6OC camping area taped off by local members.

    I've been a member for some time but find it very un sympathetic to newbie mistakes so have always been scared of posting any pics.     i think the police in this country are taken for granted due to our relatively "soft" laws...we got it easy here...people just dont realise or appreciate that sometimes I agree there Nick, for the moment. But envisage the day, not too long away, where they are nothing but Whitehall's private army. They have already been sanctioned to use anti-terror laws against peaceful protesters.

    It'll be a bit oily but it'll only be surface grease. There shouldn't be any oil, or other fluids, running through it.

    The front ones will have the wrong spring rate since the VR lump is a lot heavier then the 8v unit.

    Teal is kind of to the left of the main gate. Follow the signs for the UK-MKIVs meet as their field is past ours. ;-) The turn in point to Teal will be indicated by one of our banners. Here's an aerial photo of our field with a rough sketch of where things will be. Camping in the red oval ( near the toilet and shower block ) , VRs along the mulberry line and the eating, drinking and making merry around the various gazebo shapes at the top.     Bring your shin pads. UK-MKIVs are up for some inter-club footie. Not that you'll catch me playing. I've got a bad knee from Bug-Jam ;-) Another top tip, this time for anybody bringing a cool box, is to 3/4 fill two 1l fizzy drink bottles with water - or your favorite flavour squash - and freeze them. They'll help keep the box cool and give you a nice cold drink at the end of the weekend once they've thawed.

    So long Claire, Thanks for every thing you've done for the club. I'm sure that without your dedication to the cause VR6OC wouldn't have half the status at shows it does. Rest assured the club is in good hands and we will endeavor to build on the reputation you have achieved for us. Shame you cannot make it to Billing to see the seedling you planted finally take shape. TG. P.s. You really should get to the Nurburgring with your genetically modified VWs.
