Yer, looking to relocate it into front bumper where the carbon canister used to be. So need a pipe to take it in there.

hi all, i'm lookng to get my air filter out of the bay, does anyone know what diameter hose/pipe is needed? i measured the existing bit of hose and it was 78/79mm, but samco only seem to do a 76mm or 80mm.......... cheers

there is a south mimms meet now, organised on ed38, fri 22nd june, then i think it will be every 3rd thurs of the month. sounds like they could do with more golfs as it seems a bit of a rado fest lol.

to get the pitting out ready to wet n dry use an 80 grit sanding wheel attatchment for a drill, you can get them from halfrauds

yep me too, i got a feeling its the choke effect, when you start it let it run til the choke cuts off and the idle sits at normal level and it won't happpen.....

cheers, i dunno how much it cost, i did alot of the polishing myself, like the wheels and alternater(before it was chromed) and it will still cost another £120 to get the alternater refurbed with new bushes and bearings but a rough price( if you didn't polish anything and just bought it) would be around £750 ish i guess but if you want just the front of the manifold done i would diy it, you can get polish to cut the cast on ebay, or do as i did , the old fashioned way with sand paper and patience

hi all, a little update...... not the greatest pics as they are from my phone right, finally got my bits back from the chromers and the polishers and have been busy with polishing the porka rims.......bloody rough cast alloy beneathe 50 odd coats of paint including a top coat (on the insides ) of white household gloss the pics got a few more bits to get....oh and fit it all

the noise of worn chains sounds like a very noisy sewing machine -
cips away are gonna proberbly say they will have to respray the whole bumper, i had a 2 inch scratch on my door and they wanted to respray the whole door! might as well go to a decent bodyshop and they will proberbly do it for less than you think, as they will just respray that side but lacquer the whole bumper.
