when the camshaft position sensor is unplugged it does nothing and still ticks over the same, would this happen because the faults arent cancelled out yet on vagcom? the dude fixing it is tryin to get someone open to get it on to see what its showing

yep man you gotta love them, i loved my old vr to bits, nearly went rwd ( m power) but found this lovely black magic pearl 3door highline recently and fell in love with it, just gutted its chose to play up just as i get off work for the 1st time in ages!!

its all about the money, nothing more. the creative spark that made them iconic bands is well extinguished! may as well watch a covers band!! the general music scene has never been better in my opinion, loads of good things going on in many different musical genres ( loads of garbage too tho!) and some mad merging of musical styles / genres too.

football violence never went away it was just more or less kept out of the stadiums and swept under the corporate carpet. where ever there is football there will always be hooligans, you have a fair point tho the english fans got banned for years from europe yet these days the turks and italians and dutch etc pretty much get away with all manner of serious violence and abuse

as above, has had new coilpack, crank sensor and air flow meter but still no joy, drives perfect other than that, anyone any ideas? is it something serious / expensive?

that cars from here, some guys on an N.I car forum owned that wagon, by all accounts they area complete rocket ship. the old gsi300024v carltons get some punishment at the junctions these days, clean rotten but some howl off them lol

patience is the key man, you have to wait untill the right car comes along, took me near a year to source another vr6 golf and was lucky to touch for a 76k highline in black magic pearl ( think thats the right name of colour) , i nearly gave up the search and went rwd but missed my last vr6 too much to buy anything else! £3.5k will get a good one but id be reluctant to pay that kind of cash for a 130k + miler without seeing receipts for things like water pump, chains, altenator etc etc, be a nightmare to shell out that money only to have to throw more money at it every month!

loads of them are basically worn out or requiring loads of work / money spent on them and people dont want to take a chance on them. i had a 95 one for 6 years and have just bought a highline last night after an 8 month search for a realistically priced example in decent order,

my vr6 sold 3 weeks ago, standard except eibach bilstein suspension, bbs rims, pagid fast road pads and cat back supersprint system with the neat letterbox tailpipe, loved it for 6 odd years but at 137k it needed severe tlc so it went to a mechanic who could do the work at a fraction of the cost i would have inccured...im after another as vr6s rock just havin trouble finding the right one!! yep goonersteve scene here is pretty much bangin, head out into the country and every other road junction has about 30 circles on it from the rwd crews ( corrolla twin cam coupes cult car here, e30 sports and m3s main cultprits lol) and all the shows arfe well attended, club gtis show was serious this year few tidy vr6s at it including a real tidy red one from enniskillen area on a euro vibe, few dubs from here were on the jon44w.com stand at edition38, black euro bora with surf board got a wee prize there. vr6newcomer do you not think tho these days even if you did have a scooby you really ne

locals being tortured by noisey cars on the roads late into night, although remote there are a few familys who didnt like it and were of sufficent standing to be able to stop it but that said it lased all summer and ther previous one too, is a legendary cruise here, so much so that people still bring rumours of its starting up again onto the local forums all the time! there is now a monthly drag event ( swrc) on the near by genuine motorsport track which is attracting plenty of cars now,incorporates a race series, and a drift series too, all for £8...excellent stuff,prices arent too bad eithe

m reg 95 137k, needs engine rebuild ( headgasket is on way out so while its apart its getting freshened up) but never had any noise from chains etc yet everyone says they should be changed at 100k, infact no rattles or noises whatsoever from it, just spotted steam comming from gasket area but no overheating yet so its off road to get sorted for another 137k lol, that one as everyone says looks terrible, theres 12 odd pages of them on autotrader man for sale so shop about to get the right one

im with antera309 here but the only thing i would say is dont fear the uk spec scoobys, i have raced severaL and went past several, off roundabouts etc they are quicker but if you get em on a straight rd from say 50 or 60mph they are passed in 3rd no sweat, a lot of the time when people race on the road ( or go for a run would be a better way of putting it really)its down to the driver and the road conditions (time of day, weather, amount of traffic etc)ahead, so its hard to come out and say for instance that you beat say an fq340 or something when in reality the muppet was maybe scared of it
