  1. phoneican - they're actually 17's mate. Thanks for all the positive feedback y'all
  2. Certainly did mate - very happy with them too (thanks claire)
  3. The camera hides a million sins (as does P21S ) TBH the paintwork is no where near perfect and is on my "To do" list. It's a highline so Purple Violet aka Mulberry
  4. Awesome mate - it's changed so much over the year. How are you getting on with air-ride? - i thought it was poop for handling??!
  5. Thanks for the comments y'all Trp to styledynamix wasn't too successful, got as Reading before I got a call saying that unfortunately they couldn't do it today :-( - I hope to get it done in a couple if weeks thou It's in need of a damn good clean now, but i'll put some more pics up in the next couple of days.
  6. This might be the link you were thinking of Sanky http://vwcaddyforum.com/showthread.php?t=1864&highlight=arch+rolling+tool
  7. After buying my rims back in October I've finally sorted and fitted them What do you reckon (just a quick pic, i'll take some proper ones soon) The centres are colour coded (they look black in the pic due to the lighting) They look better than i'd hoped, even if the car does sit a liitle high, i'll have to wait for a while before i can get some coilovers to sort it out. Off to Styledynamix tomorrow to get the rear arches rolled to prevent any rub'ege - does seem to bad TBH but i hate it when i hear it rub.
  8. I love these kinds of threads...... and it looks like its coming along well, how long have you got to wait to get it back?
  9. Looking good slim Is it a full respray other than the roof?
  10. Agreed. obd2's have the bigger throttle body anyway i believe
  11. Quite easy mate once you've got the lights off the car. As you say remove the clips (4 i think) and the heat around the edge of the lense with a heat gun or hairdrier to soften the sealant. Once its nice a hot prise the plastic and lense away from each other - be careful not to clip the glass. When you put it back together run a bead of silicone sealant around the orginal seal or they're prone to misting up. Good luck
  12. This is a bit of a nightmare job unless you've got enough of the old nozzle left to pull on with mole grips. Make sure spary some wd40, or similar, and let it soak in, to help loosen it b4 you start pulling. I ended up having to remove the motor and drill out the old nozzle :@
  13. They're based in Hayes, west London just off j3 m4. Petevr6 - How did they get on rolling your arches? I'm gonna book mine in for a bit of rolling in the next couple of weeks
  14. Other than the daily Polo piece that i still have, this was my last car:
  15. You read my mind I think just getting the lip rolled should do the job clearance wise.
  16. Thanks Matt & Si - i did think that there might just be enough clearance as the rear beam does sit just above horizontal, so as you say the wheel should only move up and forward. Si, if it was only just a problem for you with 9x17's I should be able to park a bus in the clearance I'll have with my rims Hopefully they'll look good with my ride height (no where near as low as most of you), as I can't go any lower without moving house! :@
  17. The bumper lips around the arch and this part might rub: The metal arch can be rolled but obviously this plastic part can't be rolled - I'm not sure it'll actually rub but I'll see what happens when i get the arches rolled
  18. Yeah the arches will need rolling - think the biggest problem will be where the bumper lips over into the arch. The H&R adaptors are pricey at £190 but there aren't many alternatives available yet + the H&R's were the only ones i found that were alloy and TUV approved (they're pretty heavy so wouldn't fancy using steel ones!)
  19. Looks very nice claire Where did you get the bodywork done? (appologies if you've been asked that many times before!)
  20. I stand corrected and i'm incredibly jealous
  21. imo Optimax is far better. When i run anything less than 97ron by car doesn't run as smoothly and last time i used ultimate (during last petrol price rise) it did the same thing - so i'm not entirely convinced it was 97ron comming out of that pump that i had to pay 104p per litre for!!!! just my 2p
  22. I'm pretty sure Projektzwo's are LHD only too, doh! so not too affective in UK
