    I've got a pair of front calipers from a 996 - some 4 pot brembo's, they look massive! Anyone else using them? What size discs are you using? Was gonna go for some 312mm discs but miht go bigger if I can. What are they like? Not fitting mine for a couple of months - got braided lines fitted already. What pads would be good for fast road/track use? I've got green stuff fitted at the moment, not really keen on them - want something thats gonna give me some serious bite! Cheers

    I stuck my car in the garage for a few months at the weekend & got myself a £100 Mk4 Escort 1.4 LX! 1990, Black, 1 owner from new and all original - has no power compared to the Golf but its nice to just knock about in and not have to worry about the dirt or the grit eating my wheels etc

    Alright mate did you speak to them? Im gonna be getting some made up after xmas - how much did they quote? Tim said he could do them for me but I didnt ask how much when I was down there.

    Their subaru's will be worthless aswell soon enough! You can pick them up for £1500 - £2k aswell. The Golf will be worth keeping when/if the new tax bands are applied to cars newer than 2001. Your gonna lose money on any car you buy, just dont worry about it - just have fun.

    You sure that your carpets or the stuff underneath isnt getting wet? This would cause it to steam up - wouldnt be anything to do with the cat.

    Cool so the Mk4's might fit then - I've seen that the Cupra R discs are 323mm so they might be better for me

    Anyone know what size Mk4 R32 discs are? Im planning to fit the front discs next year along with some Brembo 4 pots. I take it they'll fit straight on? My cars got 17's fitted

    This year I've been part of a race team in the Britcar Production S1 series - cars owned by a friend of a friend and I was lucky enough to be asked if I wanted to join the team as they needed another person. Its a Bmw M3 Evo - I thought a 3 door would have been lighter for racing apparently not since its all been completely stripped out etc. Running around 380bhp, touring car spec cage, AP 6 pots etc etc. This was our 1st season & we came 3rd overall in our class.     Anyone know if its possible to disable the ABS system on a VR6? Im getting p*ssed off with replacing wheel speed sensors! The ABS hasnt come on once since I've owned the car - it does work but I've never needed to use it on the road or the track.

    It was! They also has the Toyo cup boys racing there to on the sat & a Corrado won, sounded like a VR6 but Im not sure what was in it

    My race team (Team GAMA Motorsport) joined up with another (BPM Racing) to take part in a 24 hour race at Silverstone as part of the Britcar series, if you saw the 24 hr race that Top Gear did last year its that one. My main job in the race was to re-fuel the car, this was done every 2.5 hours & in total I was awake for 41 hours! I was absolutely shattered when I got back home last night. We were racing a Renault Clio Cup, started 36th out of 41 cars & came home 16th overall and won our class :-d It was mentally 1 of the hardest things I've ever done but an amazing experience! As I'd

    My handbrake light comes on now and then which in turn makes the engine misfire - I had the faults read and it came up with an intermittent wheel speed sensor fault, would this be the cause of my woes? Ta
