    yep, see how much better off we all are with a Golf VR6 - you won't find them on the hard shoulder up in flames, let me tell you!

    wheels were just from ebay off an Audi RS2 (the Porsche Cup wheels)

    in fact, that was me being a muppet - I think it's just the orange bulbs reflecting off the back of the light so I could indeed replace them - d'oh!

    unfortunately it's the actual lights that are orange - like a reflective background, not the bulbs - I see what you mean though, didn't realise that when I bought them I must admit!

    and it's lovey - sounds awesome, not too loud and the guy who fitted it said it was the best fit he'd seen for an aftermarket exhaust - no knocking or anything, well chuffed!

    this is the problem I have at the moment - have the wheels but not lowered yet and looks way too high! Suspension will be coming as soon as funds allow!

    well that's personal preference - to me 15's are just a little bit small, but then that's my own preference. They're nice looking wheels though. bit different from the comps which is good...

    I just 'spaced' my porsche wheels (ET55) with H&R hub adapters and are fine - I got my adapters from Europerformance.co.uk, £220 delivered (which is the best price I could get). I got 25mm adapters, but you can get a larger width - the larger the width the more the wheels will stick out from the car, but you need a minimum of the difference between the 2 offsets (VW and the Subaru) - i.e if the difference is 20mm (35-55), then you need at least a 20mm spacer. Hope this helps - I found it quite confusing before I did mine, so if you need to know anything else just shout!

    looks lovely - I bought some of that clay recently but not had chance to do it yet - was it easy enough to do, how long did it take you?

    it's funny, having a standard GTI I'm really used to the plastic trim on the bumpers and side skirts now - the fully colour coded edition 30 looks a bit odd, loads of red! Not saying it looks crap, but just a bit odd after me seeing the black plastic every day!

    No, as they're genuine Porsche wheels they need hub adapters (mine are from H&R) to be able to change fitment - I saw them on ebay originally but went down and made the guy an offer before the auction ended and got them that way. They were off an Audi RS2 originally (the Porsche built one).

    ah, I stand corrected then - maybe I should be placing my order then - what do you reckon they'd give me for trade in on the standard MK5?!

    I've got a tornado Red MK5 GTI which I love, The edition 30 looks cool - I love the exclusivity of it but I've never been a fan of black wheels - that's a minor point though as you could easily change them - should be awesome to drive. I love the MK5 but you can't beat the sound of the V6!

    I know - was hoping that I might be able to get away with it for the time being once the wheels were on, but clearly not - I'm going for that Golf Country 4x4 look at the moment! Mark, I might well be interested in the shocks etc, I'll PM you.
