  1. So is my part number ok for an early rocker cover ACF? Anyway, thought you were going to get some recaros? :-)
  2. Just got back today from Stealth. They did the rear bushes in 2 1/2 hours. They also greased up and tightend one of my rear bearings and altered the bracket on my BMC CDA as it was rattling. Grand total came to £162.09. :-) I think the 200 mile round trip was worth it as those guys really seem to know what they are doing. One happy customer. :-)
  3. Would that be road legal though?!? Think of all the sun light reflecting into oncoming drivers and such. Wonder if it deflects laser traps and radar guns? :-)
  4. Would be interested to know the part number as I have got a new gasket for an OBD1 rocker cover. Just hope its the right one as my luck with the VW parts department is rubbish! The one I have is 021 103 483 B. So if that is right then yours should be the other one, whatever that is! :-)
  5. Steve Culls details are: Contact Details Was going to get my Design '90's re-polished but had other things to spend my money on. His stuff looks top class! Look at these pictures: Click
  6. You will need to enlarge the holes in the 'bracket' by 2mm to fit the bolt through. Running mine without the cold air feed and it seems ok to me. Have got it literally pointing into the wing though!
  7. If they fell out then the labour cost shouldnt be that much should it. :-)
  8. Already sold m8. :-) Bampson is taking it off my hands in exchange for an ODB2 + cash for the polishing. :-) Will see if Vince can sort a polished one out for me.
  9. Only thinking about it at the moment Tommy. Not really got the cash for it but im really clocking the miles up on the VR (just hit 117k :-(), so wanted something that would be a bit cheaper to run for the 70 mile round trip a day I do to work. :-) Would be interested to hear the details. Mileage, colour, no of doors, mods, etc though. Send me an email if you want with the details.
  10. Thats what I thought. Just spoke to Vince and he recons that Ventos were only built upto '95 which explains why it was an OBD1 manifold. The guy I bought it off said he had a '97 Vento, but obviously must have been registered at least a couple of years after being built. You live and learn... Vince has said he might have a polished OBD2 manifold hanging around somewhere as he got a couple polished up a while ago. Either that or I have found another OB2 manifold which I will need to get polished. (Thanks Bampson :-))
  11. Im getting mine done at Stealth next Friday. Apparently they dont use standard ones but GSF ones.
  12. Whats the rest of the car like Claire? I need to find myself a cheapish run around at some point. You seem to be the person in the know when it come to cheap cars! :-)
  13. Im guessing a Corrado one is out of the question as well?
  14. So what happened Simon, do tell us. :-)
  15. I would if I had the tools. :-( Still waiting for my plug lead removal tool...
  16. The problem with ETKA is that no matter what model and year you choose, it always gives you the same diagram, so I dont trust it exactly.
  17. Saw this in ETKA. Maybe I need item 17??? Click Me
  18. Its underneath by the front of the manifold. Mine is 021 133 223 K.
  19. Just had a quick look at my car (in the dark with a torch!) and I cant see that hose connector either. :-( Part number would be good Simon if you can. Arse! :-(
  20. :-( Came off a '97 Vento though apparently...
  21. Heres some pics of my manifold im getting fitted at Stealth in a couple of weeks. Can somebody confirm that it is an OB2 manifold? Cheers
  22. Ive had a similar problem recently. Turned out one of the leads was arching at the coil-pack end. Cleaned out the inside of the lead and the problem has gone away now. Maybe you have a similar problem Justin? Can you hear any 'cracking' from the engine bay?
  23. Vince has told me that the fuel rail can be a bit of a pig to fit, but he estimated that it should take about 1/2 hour.
  24. If you get your old injector clips chromed I might be tempted to take them off of your hands. :-) Should have manifold, rocker cover and fuel rail fitted in 2 weeks time at stealth. Stupid question, but how can you tell if the manifold is OBD1/2? Will take some photos tomorrow and post in another thread. Just want to make sure I have the right one before I get stealth to fit it and they laugh at me because I have the wrong one. :-)
  25. I think GSF are selling the Hella Celis lights for about £220. Did see them on the website but cant find them now. :-?
