The cam chain should last the life of the engine its the tensioners that need replacing as they wear out around the 100k mark - check to see if yours have been done - i suspect at 150k they should have been! My old engine had done 155k and the only problem i had with it was excessive oil usage/burning - as long as the engine sounds ok and you have no nasty knocks or blue smoke you should be fine! I would advise using the VW synta silver oil when doing oil changes! I didn't on my old engine and i'm sure this contributed to the excessive engine wear! Do a search on the forum about chains and t

I believe so - i've got the r32 projector lights with angels - i'm going to be fitting them on mine! I think i read somewhere that hids are well suited to the projector style headlight and you get a good output from the already good hid! Just waiting to get 10 peeps interested so the group buy can start!
Just spoke to stealth about fitting my ZR s/c - they are saying i should reconsider this as the company has gone bust and parts are unavailable! Does anyone know anywhere that can source parts and if the worst comes to the worst re-build the charger? I don't really want to get rid of it if i can possibly help it!
Do i need to lower the compression when fitting a supercharger? Or is that only for high boost/turbo chargers? My head gasket is leaking and as i'm having the head off is it worth putting a bigger gasket on to lower compression?
I would do it yourseilf - my local shop did mine and charged me £300 (h/u, front comps, subs, wiring, power cap, 2 x amps) and it wasn't the best job i've ever seen! I'll def be doing it myself next time!
