What size tyres should i be getting for my 16" wheels? I currently have 205/50/15 My car is lowered but does not have the arches rolled (yet) I get slight rubbing when going over bumps. Cheers

The little piece on the end of my dipstick has broken (the bit that always breaks apartently) i've since replaced it but my question is: are dipsticks for all golfs the same length? When i replaced mine i found that my oil was now on the minimum level! I don't want to overfill with oil so need to know if my dipstick is showing the correct level! Cheers

Help! I'm loosing water, i have a slight missfire when accelerating away in a low gear, im loosing oil slightly, but i've got no mayo on my filler cap - could it be my headasket? How can i tell without going to a garage? How much roughly to get fixed and how long off the road? Sorry to hijack the thread but didn't want to start a similar thread to your vr6pete! ~

Hi i'm new to all this and have a couple of questions: My 1993 140k Vr is using about 1 litre every 500-600 miles roughly &| - i've noticed that if i come to a roundabout lets say then pull away after ticking over for a few seconds i get a cloud of smoke (not sure on colour but probably blueish). Is this the valve stem seals or rings? When i start up in the mornings i get a slight rattle from tappets then quiet - also no blue smoke when starting. When i bought the car the dipstick plastic handle bit was broken (as they seem to do) I've replaced it with a new one off ebay but could
