    Tommy do you need that extra 4bhp to outrun those shitty seats,or is it never called upon? Give the vr a long straight road and it tends to kick arse on all those 150/220bhp cars whatever the make or model.Everybody bangs on about it on here-the vr pulls like a train 4000rpm to redline.

    I am aware there has been a debate about OBD 1[OLDER ENGINE ECU]as opposed to ODB2[NEWER-BETTER CONTROL OF VARIABLES-MORE BHP?].Regardless of the ECU,say 100k a typical run in engine should be up on power?In my case had it RR:180bhp@5950rpm with a flat spot at 3000rp[with a 3bar pump from a mk3 gti until my local vr breaker got me a 4bar pump which is standard on all vrs].any thoughts guys,or shall i just get it RR ASAP as i have lost my RR place at Stealth?Just curious to see if it was chipped and found no evidence on circuit board.serial no above barcode 0 261 203 218/219.other serial no 021

    ingham;had vw alarm and cat2 immob checked by installer of immob + battery.think i'm gunner change relay 109 and see how it goes.

    once every week/2 weeks vr won't start.turns over fine but won't start.checked for spark-none[when it will not start].but the car will bump start.took the car to dealer-hall sender fault,adviced to check wiring from hall sender[part of coilpack] to ecu and battery via fusebox.cleaned all connections,seems ok.relay 109 is part of this ignition loop?took the relay apart- hairline crack at soldered connection.had it re soldered-car been ok apart from one time it took several attempts to start.will changing 109 relay remedy the situation or faulty coilpack,ecu?any ideas people?cheers in advance!

    morning tracey ere.good info people.i know what you mean about feel,i know its no comparison but we used to ave o 309 gti.nice car went where you wanted it to go.and ade had a 130 sri with spax spotrsline adjustable suspension and it handled like shit on a shuvel.maybe the vr6 would bennifit from somthing like this.td

    tracey drafz......asks this top buzz question.cant wait to get all your opinions.i drive a vr6 its my hubbies but he lets me play out in it.i always get civic type rs n in things wanting to race.the only thing ive raced proper so far is a v5 and he couldnt get away.dropping it to second and giving it your best shot really does get the old ticker going.11o is my best so far but am gettin better with practice.come on give me your views.td.

    had a bit of a burn with an S3 2day.came off a roundabout in 2nd moderate acceleration.he took the bait.nailed 2nd,3rd,4th upto 5000rpm.doin 110mph by time i'd hit 5th.got the impression he thought he could pass me without hardly tryin.got to do better than that to pass a VR!quite impressed with the straight line speed with the 6pot,as everybody keeps mentioning.

    turned out to be a dodgy fitted filler neck on the petrol tank.hope this helps!
