  1. Just as an aid to the stalling problem, i'm going to try flushing the MAF out with some carb cleaner...wondering if the old green filter was over oiled causing some build up on the wires.... With the tensioner, i'm told by Paul Horrocks that he can do an exchange for me to save me pissing about changing the bearing in mine. I just need to get hold of him to see what he's gonna charge me for it.
  2. Warren, the Toad Ai606 was what i had on the Corrado. I dare say it was just not fitted right tbh, but i wasn't as happy with it as i was the Clifford.
  3. Had a feeling it'd be a bit like that Jay......just gonna have to ride it out for a few weeks till i can afford to get another one. Question is....which one??? I had a Toad on the Corrado which was OK, but did have a few little niggles, and a Clifford C300 on the MK2, which was faultless in 2.5 years.....but i hear they can have problems. Your choices??
  4. I've had a few problems arise recently that i haven't noticed cos i've not driven the car far enough. The main problem is idling. If i hold the car on a low constant throttle (about 1500rpm) for a few seconds then let off, the revs drop to almost stalling before perking up and sort of ticking over OK (its still a bit lumpy). If you look at the end of the TB where the actual cable runs, do the same again with holding the revs, and watch the silver part in the centre (assuming this runs through to the butterfly) you can watch it return too far then move forward again to compensate for the low
  5. Brentacre have finally decided they want proof of fitment of the alarm on the Highline, which the local dealer ain't too chuffed on giving.....anyone had a similar problem where they've had to find a way out?? Other than a new system, any ideas?? %-6
  6. cheers guys! My fingers are crossed!
  7. Well, after a hectic few weeks, i've managed to get an application in, and a phone call yesterday finds me with an interview booked up for next Tuesday arvo. Fingers crossed!
  8. It can be a very difficult car to find, so don't rush. Took me months to find mine, and i still didn't get the perfect one.
  9. Every morning i slowly negotiate the speed bumps on the way down the drive to the works car park......i only catch on one of them, but its a right nasty noise!
  10. Ha ha.....nothing like picking on the little guys eh!! I saw a mate of mine recently whilst heading into Worcester, so we decided to stop and have a quick chat. This just happened to be as the local Maxxer's were heading into the PC World car park too......so anyway, after a little chat we decide to head off, just as a few of the ricers do too. We take a steady trip over the speed bumps (obviously my plastic spoiler means more to me than their intricate body filler carving, judging by the speed they went over them), and round to the traffic lights......two lanes of course...which then open
  11. Cheers Warren, muchly appreciated! I picked on you as you're the closest to me other than Dubloke.....but i have other contacts for work in his place!
  12. I've had enough now, i want out! Anyone know of anything engineering wise in the Midlands area? Will travel down to Gloucester or up to Rubery, but ideally no further. I'm a Design Engineer at the mo, more mechanical than electrical, but trained in both. Would prefer a more mechanical role though. Warren - do you speed camera peeps need any more help?? If any of you guys hear of anything, can you give me some pointers please?? The less stress the better...i don't cope well with stress... Cheers in advance!
  13. Item no 7973809737 is one of them
  14. LMAO! I love it, and now i've shamelessly stolen it for the Worcs forum! lol
  15. i was thinking the same thing......i can't believe that they've topped the 50 quid marker though....
  16. It's had more wheels than i've had hot dinners!! God knows what it will be sat on next time i see it!! lol
  17. My corrado VR gasses were bloomin hot too, although i don't really seem to have the problem with the MK3. Might be something to do with the removal of the cat too (has it been removed?) just to make matters worse......
  18. I've got a Road Angel Classic. No false alarms and only one missed camera so far (van on a brige over the M4, don't even know if it was live). Top Marks!
  19. WOW! Looks top notch Dalj, can't wait to see this face to face somewhere. Glad it's finally done!
  20. All the best Claire! Our own Claire (Golfgirl on CGTIWorcs and CGTI) is also up for it at some point, so we wish you both the best!
  21. I've got a Road Angel Classic that i got off eBay...dunno if i was lucky but i got it for 99 quid plus postage, and there was still a month left on the updates. Gives as much of a warning as i can imagine you'd need.
  22. You can even do it with a normal allen key if you're a little bit careful!
  23. It's a trader thats selling it by the looks of it to me.....M V Cars.... Perhaps a quick call to check the price might be the order of the day! Could be worthy of the laugh.
  24. OMG they're shit! :0 I can't believe that someone can do this to anyone full stop, fellow club member or not. Best of luck with the auction Warren, i must admit to being a watcher now too, just for the shear amusment of what they will sell for. So glad i didn't say yes to that swap now!
