    Lol….true Nick. I knew he didn’t mean it….was just annoyed that he did it to these and not my venoms. Its not the end of the world….they weren’t immaculate, close but not quite…..and had been considering a refurb over the winter anyway…..just means I have to do it now….plus me pa did off to help pay for it….good old chap.

    How do I remove the backs.....the flippy down bits Probably really simple but run out of time today to look at it properly.....looks like there is an allen key screw at each end, but it looked abit tight to get one in, didn't try, didn't have time. Cheers

    For a year and a half i had the venoms on my car and I think my dad managed to curb them once when moving the VR to get his own car off the drive. !sad I said to him on Thursday when we walked past it on the way back from circuit traing...."Dad you have to be soooo much more carefull now when driving the car.....stay well away from the curbs because the new wheels stick out sooo much more than the old ones" He takes the keys from my room this morning.....I think, I should remind him to be carefull.....but don't. He comes back in looking really bad &| throws the keys on my bed and says

    Shit dude....that sucks.....surely if they have told you a time for the work and go back on that date surely they should compensate you your expense. After all they haven't done what they said they would.

    Sounds a bit harsh really. What was the load? How dangerous? If the fire department was called then it must have been quite dodgy. Maybe a warning would have been more sufficient. Perhaps you could call for unfair dismissal.....go to an tribunal or something?

    I had to fit a new regulaor in my old rs1800 fiesta......went in very easy indeed. Never had the door panels off the vr yet so don't really know what it looks like in the door cavities.....seems like its not as easy as a festa though. Sorry I can't be much more help

    Well since last weekend I have noticed my rear footwell have been wet.....sometimes alot more than abit. I have been pondering all week on where it could be coming from, thinking I may have a hole in the cills and the water running through or maybe the sunroof drain was blocked. :? I got in the car this evening and there was almost a lake in the rear footwells.......this can't be good I thought......I felt the raisedl lump in the middle....dry, i felt around the edges near the pillar trims....all dry, I then felt along the back vertical bit underneath the rear seat, that was also dry. &am

    I saw these pics the other day on the vw vortex site after looking at the sump guard ingham posted about and have to admit I wasn't that impressed by the look of it. Having said that I don't like the mkv much anyway, it was the same with the mk4, i didn't like that when it first came out, but grew on me after a while. Maybe after a few people get hold of it and mod it abit it will look alot better.

    I finally managed to send the Konig Holes back to the supplier on Monday. As I guessed they are kicking up a stink as two of the wheels had been on the car (but not driven) before I noticed the damaged one. This means that the paint was a bit scratched where the bolts had been tightened up. I made them aware of this right from the begining, but I can see it will be a stumbling block to getting my money back. What are my rights.....what should I say? Any help would be most appreciated. Cheers

    They are as they are the same as mine.....don't see why they won't fit yours? Mine were a pain to get the big fog bit in, had to wangle the springy metal hook abit.

    I've got 225/35/17 on there at the moment....considering stretching some 215 or 205's on though....see how it goes with the arch mods first Ash....Any camera will make a car look shiney mate You can't see the thousands of white marks from stones and stuff on the front bumper and bonnet.....thank god Seriously though, I only washed it with meguirs gold class the night before, it hasn't even been waxed for a month or so
