    Yes oy way to validate it is a high line is from the log book. You can always look on the reg online on the tax and vehicle insurance database.

    Welcome to the club Phil You are probably best posting in the "Wheels, Brakes, Suspension and Steering" section of the forum. However if you have had any suspension work then I strongly advise a 4-wheel alignment to get the camber, I probably wouldn't associate a diff issue with wearing the inside of the tire and is more than likely related to camber.

    Naturally you should put your own health first before the car, but if you still get enjoyment out of driving it then worth keeping if you can get those jobs sorted. the body work will cost the lot, but as long as it is mechanically sound then you can still enjoy it and send to bodyshop to fix up the body?
