  1. More updates Car is now done On the truck home To say I’m happy with the finish is an understatement. When I picked the colour asked on the fact the Skyline R34 GTR is a dream car of mine I never imagined it would look so good on the golf.

  3. Hi all I was a corrado man from a young age and after breaking my rado vrt I'm now going for the next build.with my old daily mk4 she was a well speced straight car so why not turbo it I then decided on a costly full repaint with Bentley I currently have the suspension, brakes, clutch and head spacer fitted. now it's engine bay plumbing and not long to go Just thought I would share with you all and see if people can help where it's need and hopefully I can return the favour to those who need help looming for 500 bhp and considering I'm using a gt35 turbo with all supporting mods I

  6. More than likely, because they actually have a MK4 'VR6' (12v) there.

  7. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think I've seen the mk4 golf and bora badged with the vr6 logo in the US

  8. Likely because the badges that are on the cars are a branding rather than a description. To VW "VR6" is an engine from the early 90's, not a good marketing ploy to put that on the back of a brand new car 10 years later. On the flip side of that, the Audi TT is badged "Quattro", when it is infact a haldex 4wd system. Quattro is indeed an old name just like "VR6," but Quattro is the name of the very successful 4wd system that pretty much put Audi where they are today, so again a marketing ploy.

    difference in vr6s ?

The mk3 had a 2.8 vr6 12v and the mk4 had a 2.8 v6 24v. Technically the mk4 isn't a vr6 as the pistons are at 90 degree angles ie a v6. In the vr6 the pistons are at a 45 degree angle hence the name vr6 (VR stands for Vee Reihenmotor which pretty much translates to vertical inline.) As said above the corrado had a 2.9 vr6 12v. It also may be worth noting there are 2 variants of the vr6 engine. OBD1 and OBD2. All corrados and pre 95 mk3s are OBD1 and post 95 are OBD2. OBD2 is basically an upgrade, upgraded throttle body, abs and few other bits and pieces. Not too difficult to do the convers
