Craig 0
I sold one of my two cars today (a Rover 800 Vitesse) and couldn't bear to let the Vento go too. The money from the sale of the Vitesse just about gives me enough (I hope!) to get my little business venture going again. So, earlier this evening I cancelled my eBay auction and went out to give my VR6 a big hug.It feels good to be able to drive and enjoy one car without the nagging thought that I might have to let it go soon. I'll miss the extra luxuries, better fuel economy and performance that the Vitesse gave me. But the solid build quality and the oh so addictive VR6 sound will see me through! Craig 0
Yes indeed, Pete. Well, I never really went away, though I did come VERY close to selling mine. There is something very alluring about these cars. Not that I need to explain that to you, of course. I am sure you know exactly what I mean!An improvement in circumstances will allow me to hunt for a nice, late Vento (or Passat) VR6 with leather and aircon. In the mean time I'll enjoy this one and maybe indulge in one or two minor tweaks.
