vdubgirl 3
Theres not a smily I can use to sum up how I feel at the mo.About hour ago I had a phone call from Ian (b/f) saying i'll be with you in five minutes. Ten minutes later I get another phone call from him I've just been hit head on by a woman who was pissed out of her head in a non taxed and god knows what else shitty ford escort !amazed &| %-6 x) This happend in my village he was only half a mile away from my house the woman was pissed out of her head to the point where she couldn;t even speak to the ambalance people and its only 2 in the afternoon ~She drove on the wrong side of the road smashed into and all down one side of a mercedes and then went head on into Ian.The only upside to this is no one was injured :| Shes now been arrrested and has been wisked off to the local nick. This bit is what really gets me she was driving to a childs birthday party as she had all the pressies with her. Who the **** goes to a kids B'day party in the afternoon pissed out of there face God it makes me mad. This only come just after i found out that some one who I new well from my last work place was hit head on again not far from where I live by a drunk driver who was doing 70 mph when he hit her. She was lucky to get out of the car car alive her daughter who was with her managed to get out and tried to get her out but because she was trapped by her legs she couldn't do anything. She is in hospital now and has been told she will never be able to walk properly again. The guy who hit her was pissed up and was also high as a kite and he had his 9 year old son in the car as well (they are both ok).People like that should be ****ing strung up fortunalty today all the woman did was damage some cars but she could of hit kids on there bikes pedistrians or anything and as for the bloke drunk driver we'll hes completly ruined someones life and i suspect he wil walk away scott free ~I'm not a happy bunny at the mo to say the least :|

tommy 0
I'm really sorry to hear that Claire...........the important thing is Ian's ok, what ever car it was,.... be it the vr or the van............ health and life is SO much more important after all, a car can be replaced.[ Edited Sat Oct 02 2004, 09:39PM ]

Nerih 0
if you must Drink and Drive (which is stupid becuase even small amounts of alcohol mess with you) then stay within the legal limit. This evening i had a half glass of wine with dinner before leaving for london. The rules are there for a reason...the DD rule is a very important one and anyone who goes over the limit and drives is a retard.
acf8181 0
you can tell that you've lost a bit of concentration from even one...the sensible thing to do if you do have to have one is to drive slower and leave larger safety margins, also try hard to maintain your focus. Eat this 2
australia (not 100% but somwhere does) has a legal limit of no alcahol in the blood thats the direction we should be goin imo as steve says a car is a very effective weapon in its capacity to kill remember that 18 yr old who got a porsche off his daddy then promptly stuffed it into a bus stop full of ppl (again not 100% sure) its absolutely beyond me y some ppl r so arrogant as to assume that theyl b fine grrrrr they may b but what about the kid they spread all over the road it happens FACT. I catch myself not concentratin sometimes and think i shouldv seen that/known that would happen and i giv myself a bollockin cuz i know its dangerous thats it rant over
vdubgirl 3
I've told ina he should sue her but were not even sure whether she is insured because she was arrested at the scene the police were not able to give us any details :-( I can t see her being insured the bloody car was 7 months out of tax. Its a good job she was in the cop car when i got there I gave her a mouthful through the window but she was curled up on the back seat sobbing
tandino 1
Im really sorry for you and Claire Ian - i hope he is ok but make sure he gets his neck checked out at the hospital asap...DD's are the scum of the earth imho - a good friend of mine was hit by one in a pick up a few years ago (about 10) in his brothers mint Astra Mk2 GTE 16V - he pushed the stationary Astra backwards about 15m with his foot to the floor and tried to drive off - luckily a off duty policeman was the next car to arrive on the scene.Luckily my friend was ok as the impact speed was fairly low - the car was totaled - it even cracked the block - the guy could hardly stand up when he was pulled out of the pick up by the copper.Another ex-friend of mine found it big and clever to brag about how much he could drink then drive - needless to say i called him an irresponsible cu*t who was going to kill someone soon.He nearly hit me head on once when i was going home from work at about 4.30am and he was coming the other way overtaking - needless to say this was the turning point in our short friendship ~ - twat.....Hope you sort everything out and get her for everything shes got - she might remember the next time she decides to drink and get behind the wheel again - maybe she'll take responsiblity for her actions if you hit her where it hurts - in the pocket ~ ~Pete.[ Edited Sun Oct 03 2004, 10:31AM ]
mk3anni 0
Sorry to hear that Claire, glad Ian's ok.Doesn't matter if she's not insured when you sue her........you can just seize her goods instead. I think that would have a bigger impact on her life than her insurance co paying up for her.

itsaliving 0
sorry to here about thisI've got a DR10 on my licence for being just over the limit I didn't hit anything and i certainly didn't kill anyone/injury anyone theres always a reason behind why something happens mine was i had a stressfull week at work and shouldn't have had that second pint before going home, the only reason i got pulled over was bacause i had a side light out. I'm certainly not trying to justify what happened so please don't get that idea. but i think not everyone can be tarred with the same brushbut being plastered at 2 in the afternoon and on her way to a kids party i think she does need the book throwing at her also considereing all the damage she caused.
vdubgirl 3
itsaliving theres having two pints and possibly being a little unlucky there (although I'm not justifying drinking and driving) but this woman couldn't even stand or talk properly cause she was that pissed :-( Ians van isn;t to bad but the merc that was in front of ian well she ****ed the whole of the side of it up the bloke which owns it is a chaffuer and uses that car for his business in London so i think he's gonna screw her over alot more than what Ians company will. I got some piccies of all the cars for insurance purposes will try and get them up on here at some stage just to show you how bad its was TBH she was very lucky to get out of her car with just a few cuts where the drivers side window shattered on her! But do I give a **** drink drivers like that which cause accidents should never be let behind the wheel of a car again IMO
VR6Rich 3
Sorry to here the news Claire, glad Ian is ok.Personally I think DD's involved in accidents should be dealt with more severly, i.e. attempted man-slaughter or something.Glad to here it was just the work van though.
