DundeeDub 0
as above, which ones are the better and also is it worth getting the gearbox one changed??
acf8181 0
i've got a full set of vibratech ones, fast road rears with competition front. all i can say is wow! they've totally transformed it, theres no vibration and the engine is rock solid, just the way it should be.i'd previously tried replacing the front one with an o.e. one at it made no difference.uprated is the way to go...will cost £300 unfortunatly, though phatvr6's mate might be able to get them a tad cheaper
speedo 0
I have VF front, and it`s made it a little harsh, but well happy. If i was buying again, i`d recomend vibratec race front, and OE rears... done that on my girlfriends, and it feels fantastick ...

VRmonster 1
i had the VibraTechnics front one fitted ages ago, and it felt great for about a week, then it destroyed the rears due to all of the vibrations being transmitted through them, so id say if you get any get em all. i have the 2 rears sat in the garage waiting for me to strip the engine out and drop em in. lol
Geastb 0
How easy are they to fit? My engine is out next week so i assume that its easier then but in case i dont get them before then - how difficult a job is it?
acf8181 0
both the engine ones are very easy. the g.box one is the toughy.with the front one you can just put a jack under the engine, then release the top and bottom bolts of the mount. jack the engine up slightly, then undo the two bolts at either end of the front crossmember and drop the crossmember to give enough room for the mount to be removed.the engine rear, you need to remove the drivers side wheel, then support the engine and undo the top bolt (theres a nut on top of it holding some wiring in place) then go under the wheel arch and undo the four bolts holding the bracket in place. remove the bracket and undo the two side bolts holing the mount in, and remove the mount.the gear box one is more trcky, as you have to remove the brackets again...but the nuts are very hard to get to. best way is to go from under the wheel arch again. but you'll have to be persistant with that one. Geastb 0
in other words - get them done at the same time as the engine fitting!!!
