But seriously that tree has got to be a major tourist spot as you see it quite often on postcards. Hope you enjoyed yourselves and still have all your limbs still after being near those lionesses. c4mbl 1 Posted July 6, 2007 Author Report Share Posted July 6, 2007 ^^^^^Haha well when i got to the Masai Mara we stopped off at one of the local "villages" where the Masai people stay, and when u visit them it customary for them to give you a welcome dance, this was part of it.Holiday was amazing, one that i will never forget and would love to go back. Was staying in forest lodges, could have done the whole camping thing but thought id rather spend a bit extra and have a bit of luxury.And yeh, if i had a VR6-OC T shirt that would have been the first thing to go in my suitcase. We stayed 2 nights in a hotel/lodge that sat on a river bank, and they were sitting at the rivers edge, swimming, sleeping all day long! Was quite good, one night, a crowd of us were sitting having a few jars, and we heard a huge splash, so ran over to the balcony to see a massive Hippo and her baby had come out the forest and into the water and swam onto the beach area to sleep........I would have thought the crocs would have munched them but they slept there all night with no worries!!!
