sounds like adirty or faulty wheel sensor get it tested on a scanner for coeds -
i have had this prob a frend from vw said it is common and what they do is put contact greas on controll unit for imobiliser it has two connectors i did this and had no probs after doing it worth a try

your cluth uses the same fluid from the brakes if that is low you will loose the brakes .... could have fluid on the cluth plate making it slip

cat or exhaust baffle partly blocked try removeing o2 sensor from cat and see if it reves better
