I'am going to try and repair it. Found a repair panel on eBay, that replaces the part of the wing from the trim down and weld a fresh bit of metal in where it's rusted. I've been reading up about patten panels and nobody has got a good word to say about them!

Time to attack the rust Took the black trim off the other week and this is what I found

Nice hole in the rear arch and plent off rust!!

Nice 6" hole in the sill

Plenty of rot and rust in the front wing and that's only 1 side

She's done 142,000. Chains sound quiet don't know if their original or have been changed. Tried the clutch this morning and it feels like there's fluid from the top. I'll still try bleeding first. Then do the cylinders and hope that sorts it (fingers crossed) then if not,,,,, box out

Yeh they hide the rust!!! Lol. That's a job I'll have to do soon!! Take them off and see what the paint work is like!!! Opening a can of worms springs to mind
