    im 37 and have had my vr for almost a year, it was only on the road for a couple of months after i bought it due to the choice of a strip down and rebuild, will hopfully be done soon though.

    I had 17's on mine and there was plenty of clearance even though mine is lowered. Im now looking for another set of 17's for it as ive put the other ones on my vrs and the 18" r32 wheels i have are to big :-(

    Well i thought i would try my R32 wheels on the VR today, but to my disapointment they were to big :-( which was a shame as i thought they looked really good on the car. So that will be a set of wheels that will be up for sale as ill need to get a set of wheels for the VR. cheers peop's happy VRing

    ok thanks peops, im going to have to try seeing as they are the only wheels i have and cant get anymore at the moment seeing as ive just been laid off from work, hoping i find another job soon or the vr may have to go:( which wont be nice as ive been looking forward to seeing the finished product. take it easy

    Hi is anyone running 18 inch wheels on their vr, i only ask as im thinking of sitting mine on a set of r32 wheels i have in the garage but im just wondering if there will be any problems? Thanks

    Hello mate Yip its sounding like you need to bleed the whole system, i had the same problem with my car after replacing the rear calipers, but after bleeding the brakes again and the clutch all was good again, Just remember to bleed them in the right order, furthest away from the reservoir first then the next furthest away and so on, you probably already knew that though hope it all goes well

    I wasn't looking for 1 at the time i got mine but my mate was selling it as he was moving away, ok its needing some minor work done to it but was well worth it and will be when shes on the road again

    hello again all thanks for the replies but I've found the problem its the injector wiring that goes through the engine as the injectors are under the rocker cover and its apparently a colon problem once the car has done a few miles so it looks like I'll be taking a Passat engine to bits :'( I might actually get my vr rebuilt at some point Thanks again

    hi all ill start by giving my apologies for this being non vr6 related, but my mrs has a 2004 passat tdi 130 highline and im having a mare with it, we had an engine management light on the dash with emissions workshop on the dash puter, after putting on a diagnostic machine it said we had an egr fault. ive replaced the egr valve and when she took it for a run last night it ran fine and cleared the fault on the dash. now this morning we went out and on cold start it was stuttery as hell and ran really rough, the engine management light was on again and we had emissions workshop on the puter a

    Well people yep its that festive period again so watch yourselves, if you want to be sure then you can get yourself one of those alcohol blood level tester thingies from most places don't think they cost much im not sure as i don't drink anyway but surely worth it rather than losing your licence ;-)

    Beigists are to blame, they're all so p.c these days that you can't say anything at all even in jest!!! Clarkson is a top bloke and if people don't get gist kind of humour then its simple, don't listen to him then you won't get all upset over what he says!!
