  1. I fancy doing mine all red and white like the newer audi's
  2. Great way of encouraging 1st time posters to come back and use the forum Calico, after all we're meant to be a friendly bunch!
  3. It's just the bare block and head mate so obd1 and 2 are the same mate. I was thinking £100?
  4. I've got a 2.8 lump sitting in my garage that I'm thinking of selling if your interested? The head is off it as the head gasket went. The head has been skimmed. I ended up putting a 2.9 in my golf though
  5. Nice one mate. Keep us all updated on the progress. Should look interesting with the Alfa wheels
  6. I done mine when I done my engine swap so it was easy without the front end being on. But I'd say the easiest way of doing it with the front end on would be to unbolt the engine from the mount find a drill a millimetre or 2 bigger than the bolt and drill the centre of the puck. I used a flat bottom wood drill. Next get your trolley jack with a chock of wood on the sump and lift the front of the engine just enough to slide the puck in between the cross member and engine mount. Put the bolt through the top of the mount and slowly drop the engine back into place. Don't drop the engine fully thou
  7. I've got a puck in my front mount and it's gave the sump a nice amount of clearence
  8. Has anyone won this yet Pete?
  9. You can get them on ebay james there just a resistor really. I'll see if I can find where I got mine from and text you the link
  10. I think if you put an R32 sump on you also need the oil pump too as the VR one is too deep for the R32 sump

  12. Well a little update. Decided to have a fiddle about to see if these polo 6n mirror's will go on. I've had to oval 2 of the mirror post holes on the door and I started to grind back the front of the alloy base plate on the mirror I need to take a little more off the mirror base and oval the holes a little more then they should fit nice
  13. 8000k won't really be as bright as 5000k. You'll get a pure white light at 5000k and the 8000k will have a purple tint to them. If you want really bright lights get a 55w kit instead of the normal 35w kit. I'm with Luke hids4u are spot on. I've had my kit from them in 3 cars now and I've never had a problem with them
