  1. I did some lights on my girlfriends punto, the were severley scratched and very badly hazed. Almost looked grey they were that bad. What i did was used some fine sandpaper, 1500 grit or finer, totally flatted them back until they were very smooth, then using an orbital buffer and some meguirs plastic polish, buffed them up to a glass like shine, simple and extremely effective. Like this, check it out: http://www.audizine.com/forum/showthread.php/181134-Audi-headlight-reconditioning-by-wetsanding-and-Rotary-(pics-inside!!-56K-warning)
  2. I would say the first one would be ok, its the correct dimensions and it is rubber sealed both sides, thats what the (2RS) bit means.
  3. i got some leads from dubpower.co.uk the other week. Very pleased with them, good quality and at £35 you cant go wrong. Heard good things about them thats why i thought id give them a try. Seem to have cured my slight hesitation under load anyway!!
  4. Yes they will fit over the 288mm brakes, quite snug and you have make sure the balancing weights dont catch on the caliper if using stick ons
  5. Whats the mileage on the engine?? Could be the dreaded piston slap/bore wear which i had on mine.
  6. connect a multimeter in series on the battery and read the current thats being drawn when everything is off. This will tell you if it is actually drawing too much current. If it is, you need to pull each fuse in turn and replace to see if there is a dramatic difference to the current being drawn when each fuse is pulled, this will then tell you which circuit you have the problem on
  7. Yep, some of the early cars up to late 93 dont have the 16pin obd connector, they have the 2x2 type.
  8. yea forgot to mention, that was another symptom, cat glowing red after been driven due to unburnt fuel making its way down the exhaust!! Not good!
  9. Im a Corrado VR6 owner, West Yorkshire area!
  10. I had nearly exact symptoms a couple years ago. It was the coilpack. Not firing on all cylinders. Best thing to do is try a known working one if you can get hold of one before you buy a new one as most places wont take electrical items back for refunds. I think i bought a new genuine bosch one for about £120.
  11. Have you been on a rolling road recently?? The last two faults come up after that, just clear them and see what comes back. Front abs sensors are cheap and very easy to fit. Unsure on the abs pump fault though, it may be related to the other faults?
  12. could be a number of problems. ecu relay could be a possibility. What i would do is get it pluggen in to vag-com or some diagnostic software and scan the engine for faults. This will tell you if you have a knackered sensor. If nothing comes up,then i would be looking at relays etc, electrical fault
