    i have one of these wooden things on my vr6' date=' got told on edition by a vroc member it was gash! :-| here are some photos of it...................... not fitted [img']http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/mm90/richierichie37/DSC05326.jpg fitted i bought it off a member here and at the time quite liked it, now its just a steering wheel tbh! hope you likey! Well if you don't want it, I'll take it off your hands....unless Dave gets there first!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    One of those steering wheels sold on eBay recently for...... £174!!! Damm missed that one....will have to keep an eye out for one of those then. Doesnt answer the original question of what are good wheels, ok wheels and crap ones brand wise.......

    was only a question as to wether I would need adapters, and if they would go unger the arches ar would I need to roll them???? Whats worse you DIDN'T tell me where I can get one of those steering wheels

    Love that steering wheel........ where can you get them from? As for the wheels, they would need an adaptor wouldn't they, as they are 5 x 115. and would they fit under the arches, as the et is 45?

    OK, as a some of you know, I'm looking for different wheels for the motor!!!! Trying to find something a little different is actually quite hard, so it might just come down to something I like rather than something different. Question is, What brands of wheels are considered to be good, mediocre and crap??!!!!! Oh and why is it we all seem to like MOMO steering wheels, but not real wheels? waiting on your wisdom all!!!!!!!!

    I would, but it's not clean enough.....NOTHING like the cars shown, puts me to shame, my car has SOOOOOO much work to be done, it's depressing. Don't know where to start!!!!!!!!!!!!grrrrr

    From what I've read, turbo conversions give greater power, but they also seem to be more larey and less driveable. Plus the dreaded lag etc. But as said, depends what you want the car for. general driver, drag strip beast??!! When I get round to doing forced induction, my route is gonna be supercharger around the 300 bhp region. Should be more than adequate for most situations!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Fianlly loaded a pic of the car we collected on wed night. Sorry for the quality, was taken on the phone!!!! It's not bad, nice and clean, drove well except for 3rd gear (not being able to select it at all except for the last 200 yrds of the journey, now it always goes into 3rd!!!!????). Not sure if he's gonna join up, trying to persuade him, but don't know if forums are his thing....his loss though!!!!!!!!! Any way, here's the pic.

    Going off to Southampton to pick up a 5 door dragon green vr for my mate. Finally persuaded him to buy a decent car!!!!!!!! Hopefully will get him to join us on here. Car he's gettin is nice looking, got all the bits on that I want....barstuard!!!!!!!!

    Hi all, I'm wanting to change my exhaust very soon as mine is blowing, plus I've got a 6 branch manifold in the boot waiting to be fitted!!!!! Question is the standard exhaust has 3 silencers, but most aftermarket exhausts have 2 silencers. Any ideas why? what benefits and which would be better? is it possible to get a 3 silencer aftermarket system, then the big question, de-cat or sport-cat, would there be a performance advantage in either??!! As usual All commens/help welcomed

    I have fitted a set of JL Audio, they fit well enough, and are of a good high quality that would be a good base for future build. they cost £180, but they are available on promotional offers, or they were in October.......

    thanks d@ver for saving my arse all im saying is that i find looking at a car where the person has taken the time to mod himself i think is worth more of a look then ones who pay for the work to be done ! true not all people have the tools or skills but having go at it even if it turns out shit then you pay for a pro lol when reading like perfomance vw most people in there have alot of money to pay for people to do the work which i think is cheating because people who don t have the money to do half of what they do! im not jealous of those people i just find working on my car meself give me th

    Thats a bit harsh.....Some of us haven't got the necessary skills, tools or the time to be able to do such things, so we HAVE to pay others to do the job, which is unfortunate, as we could be using the money for other things
