yeah engine rear and front seem ok but gearbox has a fair bit of movement , could this be it ?

just fitted new drivers side driveshaft . both calipers ebc disks and pads then bled through. however on braking hard there is a clear clunk coming from engine bay area. i thought engine mounts or gearbox mounts but whats your opinion ?

nah they came on donor car for conversion , will see what it drives like when its insured

just fitted other side and feels alot stiffer , not really lowered though

thats good i guessed that way, only got time to change one rear one but it doesnt look any lower ? if anything slightly higher

changing rear springs today and cant for the life of me remember which way up these go ? grooved side facing up to car or down to floor ?

cleaned my new green vr but despite using warm water and soap im left with rubbery stuff stuck to the paint on roof . any ideas? soft scraper ?

right just polished the golf and linseed has worked well so far but does attract the dust ! got the autoglym black die but as a spray - do you just have to mask of the body work ? or dab it on cloth then apply?

does it not peel off when dry ? never thought of that will try that aswell see which is better

cheers , will try autoglym as they seem to be pretty good , if it gets on the paintwork will it come off ?

whats the best way to get these trim bits black. i tried 'back to black' but it didnt work very well.the bottle was pretty old so maybe new stuff will work better? was thinking of colour coding but spraying is expensive over here !

on mine there are some earths under the back seats ? it is an auto tho -
problem fixed - the metal slip rings on the boss werent touching the bit of metal on the steering column bit.

horn still isnt working ??? cheers still cant find it ! just made one up. am i missing something ? do i have to adapt anything ? the feed from the pick up ring doesnt fit the spade on the plastic horn bit that it should ?

thanks ive lost the bloody earh strap for it now ! can i just use a bit of old loom and crimp some connectors on ?

just checking there are two connectors and leads on the back of steering wheel , is one an earth to the boss and one horn ?

hey , im pretty sure those three random plugs have no home as after my wiring i had them loose.could be wrong but im 90% sure -
