  1. I think we will have a drive down, its only 20 minutes away for us.
  2. There are some chips available ready to go straight in but they are not as affective as getting your car custom mapped. And yes mapping means to map the output from each aspect of your car and trim the settings to perfectly tune it for the desired results whether it be for a smoother more economical ride or for all out power and performance.
  3. You'd probably be better getting a new exhaust and de-cat pipe first then get a custom remapped chip. That way you would get the best results from your aftermarket parts!
  4. Thats what I thought, better give it a miss then. God I hate having responsabilities sometimes!
  5. Am seriously concidering this but do they have stuff going on for familys? Dont wanna sound like a prude but the last time I attended the national I was 19 I now have a wife and a 5 year old to entertain and I dont think they'd enjoy being dragged around the trade stands for 2 days solid! lol
  6. Cheers guys, the exhaust is a custom built from exhausts UK.
  7. Does sound like a fuelling problem maybe a loose connection on the fuel pump or something.
  8. lol thats brilliant, you'd defo get every boy racer under the sun try and blow you in that! What a shock they would get.
  9. Thanks Nat, it was really bugging me but all sorted now. Just ordered myself a new de-badged grill for it now to treat myself on a job well done hehe. My current grill must have been a little loose and the badge and part of the grill itself flew off while I was tonning it down the motor way!
  10. Gave the car a little overall on the coolent system today. The cars been running really rough on cold start and after making some enquiries and looking on some of the threads on here I decided to get the cam sensor and temperature sensor changed. I changed the cam sensor first and afterwards the car ran alot smother and more responsive but unfortunatley the following morning I still had the cold start problem. I changed the temp sensor today and flushed out and changed the cooling system at the same time. I did this from cold obviously and on starting the car I had a big smile on my face. No
  11. lol yeah right, I think its a three door in blue. I dont have any pics at the moment but I'll get some up-loaded as soon as possible for you. I was thinking £600 would be a fair price.
  12. No one have any idea what this car would be worth?
  13. Hi guy's, my mate at work has the above in absolute mint condition body work wise. The engines only done 60k. He's just had it at the garage and they have told him the rear suspension in knackard, needs a power steering pump, ring on back of ignition switch needs replacing, bush's need replacing etc. etc. My theory is that with the body work being in such good condition it would make an excellent doner shell for a VR6 lump to be dropped into. Then the engine out of it could be sold on. What do you guys think this car would be worth as it stands?
  14. Cant believe I missed this, is it a regular occurance, I'm only at chesterfield so just a 20 minute steady drive for me!
  15. Does sound like a missfire somewhere, What was the MAF sensor like? I had a similar issue with mine and needed the sensor new plugs and leads.
  16. My GT is CRA2Y RANGER add me if you fancy some Forza or MW2 games!
  17. LOL the photo's make the car look better than it really is but thanks. It could do with a full re-spray as its scratched to buggery and if you look closely at the rear picture thares a nice rust spot just above the licence plate. I'm going to go for a set of Borbet 'A' I think but I'll see what comes up.
  18. Gave the car a good clean and polish today, doesn't happen very often so to get it to this stage took me all bloody day! Going to be fitting some new alloys and coil overs this year and have a set of mk4 style head lights ready to go on too!
  19. We have a VW/Audi/Scoda specialist who builds and repairs moddified cars, can't say I've ever used them as I try to do my own work on the car but the stuff they have parked outside looks top notch. There based in Chesterfield here's their link http://www.jbsautodesigns.co.uk/
  20. My VR runs at between 95 - 104 depending whether i'm giving it some or not. Dont see the point in cooling the car down even more unless you have increased the cars performance massivly.
  21. changed the cam sensor today which is as you say an easy peasy job except when you break the end of on of the ht leads going into the coil aahhhhhh. A quick trip to eurocar parts sorted that little doozy. Car is running alot smoother and feels more responsive now. Won't know whether its sorted my cold start problem while the morning.
