    BUMP?

Most people use the 'view new posts' button which shows new posts to threads and brings the latest ones to the top. So you're lituraly bumping your post to make it more visable!
  2. Open in paint, press ctrl and w together and adjust size/scale accordingly!
  3. I'll give the VR a run, would be good to know what she's putting out now she's been serviced up, would be good to see some of you guys in the flesh too. 1) Leehill139 2) Martin 3)Sal 4)T0NYVR6
  4. I could think of better things to do with 13k other than wheels.
  5. Good luck mate but I fear you are 90% going to loose your licence. My boss did more or less the same thing, it was his first offence and he owns a business so pleaded he needed the car for work. They told him normally it would be a six month ban but as he owned a business they banned him for 2 weeks and made him pay a whopping fine.
  6. No sorry fella I wasnt being sarcastic what I meant was 'you really ground down your calipers. How much did you have to take off.
  7. hhhmmmmm angle grinder, now theres a thought. Only problem is the wheels are like brand new, I think I will wait and see what happens.
  8. yes quite badly as well without any spacers on, we tried a 3mm spacer first and it was still catching but the 9.5mm gives plenty of clearance but I have a feeling i'm going to have to change to stretched tyres on the front as well as the rears.
  9. posi - got new Borbet A alloys 5 x 100 Negi - there the wrong ET so need longer bolts for the spacer I've had to fit.
  10. Well I bought them and the backs are on but the fronts are the wrong ET so I'm having to fit a 9.5mm spacer which means I need longer bolts:-( Just ordered a set of 35mm bolts from fleabay so should be sorted in a couple of days!
  11. Did you try changing the MAF or at least cleaning it?
  12. Theres a soundclip of it on here somewhere when its bad. I think you can always here a little bit of noise from the chains but when its bad youll know!
  13. We use ink cleaner for glue and residue for stickers but I dont know what affect that will have on the laquer as our machines are straight paint without laquer. Theres also tar remover by autoglym I think that stuffs pritty good I used it on some paint that rubbed off onto the bumper of the car when I had a blond moment and it came straight out.
  14. Also check the last time the front wheel bearings were done!
  15. I kept my car stock for a year and a half buddy and loved every second of it, yes the servicing costs are a little more than your standard 4 pot motor but the extra big smile on your face when you put your boot down is well worth it. The main bit of advice I'll give yah is to make sure its all been serviced and looked after as mine had a gap between servicing of about 20k and I'm paying for it now. Everything that i'm having to do to the car is basically down to a lack of serving and would have not been a problem if the car had been looked after.
  16. Brilliant, I'm hoping to pick them up this weekend
  17. I've found some Borbet 'A' Alloys in 5 x 100 fitment, there 7.5j front and 9j rear. will I need anything else to doing to my car to make them fit or will they go straight on?
  18. Yeah I know about the ABS fault and have just spent the penny's to sort that out but I just need to get the indicator working again now and as i'm not shy of soldering stuff up I thought I'd get a bulb and solder it in if I could find out what spec it was.
  19. Anyone know what spec the bulb is on the ABS light? Just had the cover off mine to see why it wasn't working and some numpty's smashed it so it doesn't stay on
  20. I wouldnt class it as tidy yet mate but its getting there, bit by bit!
  21. Also forgot to mention i've rebuilt the rear brakes with disks, pads, abs rings abs sensor, osr caliper carrier and rear wheel bearings and hand brake cable. That wasnt a cheap job I can tell yah! Damn you VW.
