    am you spadam, lol beat me to it.!!! small stretch isnt too dangerous though. Big strecth means you cant be too agressive in bends.

    Ha ha firstly its a bit of a euro look, if not stretched ridiculously can look good, i have a little stretch on mine. Benefits wise...helps tuck tyre's under arches reducing arch rubbing....gives clearance, which is a good thing if running bigger and wider wheels. And lets be honest wide wheels look good on old golfs.lol leaning in at top is called camber,,,...again, can e just a look thing...but again benefit wise, aids with arch clearence and can be used for handling purposes....the surface of the wheels is greater in a bend giving more grip!!

    can i just say guys, collectively to you all you are fantastic,...you've give me some hope now where ive actually been feeling at a loss!! So they have adjustment boh ends of rod!?!, maybe he was just doing one side, he did only sem to be working wheel end. Parky, i may be way out on my negative camber and prob didnt take in to account the fact that as the weight of the car is lowered off the ramp the arms prob move in an arc movement and have prob added more negative camber. Hopefully this sat sort it,although im so skint its rediculous with all stuff going on with car....guess where my birt

    I noticed the top bolt hole is slightly longated to allow camber so i dropped a blump line and tilted wheel in slightly to give negative camber,on thethinking, less chance of rubbing in arch, plus slightly better handling....may be ive gone to much!?!?!? But why the prob with alignment!?!?!? :S

    I've in the last so many weeks, ive bought parts and fitted, payed labour(good rates though), fair bit been done (wishbones,ball joints,ARB bushes, ARB drop links,discs and pads all around,bearings, welded blowing exhaust,coilovers, alloys, 4 toyo proxy t1r tyre's), still have a list of bits to be done before can even start bits i want to do..(timing chains,clutch,engine/gear box mounts, different exhaust system,service).... Now the next thing to throw a spanner in the works is apparently my car is too low to have tracking/alignment done...there fore in a week ive managed to do a fair bit dama

    Had a mk7 gt escort- pretty quick for 1.8. Got mk3 vr6....christ, the pull, the noise, the smiles.lol....but as mentioned^^^^^ not many miles....lol although to be honest, if you want mpg why have a vr6 with the POW at the mercy of your right foot. Mine has just started costing me mney, iv spent best part of a grand last few months mainly on maintanence and still i have a list to do, and thats with cheap labour. Having said that, slammed it on coilovers and it handles so good, with all that power to use...not regretting my decision at the moment!!

    I got toyo t1r's on all corners and i tell you what they are sticky,...in fact with the windows open when giving it stick and tyre's are warm i can smell warm rubber,lol

    i have hot tuning but payed 168 buy it now, didnt bother making offer however delivery was a disaster had to complain to them took approx 20 days...wasnt impressed they ended up giveing me £15 comphensation. still good quality and car rides superb!!

    Bloody right gym, all it is is a car with lower suspension....are they going to turn mr porsche, mr lambourgini and mr ferrari away!?!....or are these car unable to have tracking etc done.lol Hope your not strugglin for work fella!!!?! Oh and John,riding high....you need to sortthat sh!t out,lol slam it buddy, transforms the car into something else!!

    ha ha yeah i blame there equipement!!! pretty poor really.lol The guy said you might get the odd place that has old equipement,...said with a bit of distain,....as if an inferior place....so i said well obviously there doing something right as im not the only car on coilovers in cardiff so your missing out there, where as the guy with 'old equipement' can do all cars!! The smaller garages will prob look after you better anyway!!

    i know.....only now, need to do the old wheel alignment...only thing is....went to a place and they said no chance its too low, you will find it hard to get anybody to do it in cardiff!!! too low!??!!! :S i told them ive actually wound it up a bit reluctantly due to my driveway.

    I had problems getting on and off the mot ramp and in and out of the brake tester rollers!!!lol the block actually sat on the floor while the wheels were in the rollers... :S lol Also wasnt happy when it was driven up the slope into the garage towards the mot ramp, i wasnt driving, turned around when i heard bang/scratch.....followed by my shout of Oi watch the f*king bottom....what you think it is a 4x4, slow and easy idiot!!!! lol.....they let me drive it back down.lol

    Ordered x4 tyre's from the bay of e on saturday.....was eyeing up toyo proxes T1R's which were like 200 quid.....opted for the toyo px-4, the next level down to save a little money whilst still having goooood tyre's.....thinking now it was only maybe a saving of 10-12 quid....oh well. Anyways, they arrived tues, no messing, i decided to check them when i got in from work,make sure correct size etc......thought thats not the tread i epected...closer look T1R's !!!! ha ha for theprice of the lesser tyre!! How Happy was I!!!.... wheels all wrapped in toyo sticky tyres now :)
