I have Koni shocks with adjustable damping. I'm very happy with them. I haven't tried any other sports shocks so I can't compare them. They stiffen the car up enough but are still reasonably comfortable. I would say any high end shock with adjustable damping should be good. If I were to go with coilovers, I would choose Koni coilovers with adjustable damping.

Is your opinion based on looks, handling, comfort or a compromise between the three? The wheels I have chosen are not available in 16's, I think they look good in 15's with a 50 profile and I think that will be best for comfort and that is top of my list of priorities.

I think it's 12 months or 10k for an oil change and 24 months or 20k for a major service. A lot of people do oil changes every 5k including me.

I like the standard look or OEM+ I think they look a bit silly if you modify them too much. I like the suspension lowered a bit but when it's slammed I think it looks broken. Some cars do look good when slammed but mostly they just look broken and uncomfortable and I wouldn't have one. My car is standard look but it has Koni shocks, Eibach ARB's and EBC brakes. The only visible mods that I would consider are removing the side skirts and mud guards. Nice looking GTi, I'm looking forward to seeing the VR

I was looking at different tires and found some budget track tires that get some really good reviews Federal 595 RS-R They are a budget semi-slick. They look similar to Toyo R888's. They get some good reviews. They say that they are as good a grip in the dry as the R888 but better in the wet and they last longer. They are quite cheap. Anyone tried these? heard anything about them?

It MIGHT be worth that much money if it was 100% mint condition. But it's not.

ok. I did that. I then went and clicked like and this other window pops up and then closes and then opens and closes and keeps doing that until I close the facebook page. Strange. I don't like Facebook. I try not to use it.

I tried but it came up with a box that says, "secure browsing not permitted" I don't know what to do after that

I have a 1998 car on an R plate. The delivery inspection was carried out on 6/1/98. This one has been very well looked after and is in very good condition and has less than 60k on the clock. I had another '98 model before this one, that had plastic arches on it. That was my first VR6 and I didn't realise that hey didn't have those arches after '96. I thought people just removed them. When I removed my trim there was bad rotten rust on all four wheel arches.

I would expect you could find some software to mix tunes together, rather than buying a piece of hardware. Of the top of my head, I'm thinking Logic Pro but if you don't already have it then it would be expensive software to buy just for this task but there must be some cheap or free DJ or audio editing software available.

I think the sales manager would get the top of the range car of his choice. mmmmmmmmmm......C63 AMG -
I got a ticket for going through a red light when I was a young driver. I had only just passed my test and I was in an old mk1 fiesta that didn't have the best brakes. The lights went yellow as I was approaching and I didn't want to slam the brakes on, so I went for it. The cops said the lights changed to red just before I crossed the line. That cost me a £60 fine which was a lot of money at the time and I also got 3 points which put my insurance up. I didn't think that was very fair. I should have got a warning not a fine.
-
I'm not saying it was ok for him to run a red light. But there was no victim, without seeing the situation, you can't tell if there was anyone put at risk. If the lights are red and there is no traffic around then I would say it should be fine for him to cross the red light. I'm sure there was traffic but I expect he was not putting anyone in any danger. I don't think he should be given a fine for what he did. Maybe a warning but a fine is a bit much considering he didn't commit a crime, he broke a statute regulation. This would not work for you, driving your car because you have registered yo

I think that is excellent. The guy says he is a law student and he knows the law, which he clearly does. I have studied a bit of law and it's all about the words he uses. Firstly any law that has the word act after it's name (like the road traffic act), is a statute law and statute law requires your consent. There are a few ways you can give your consent. The first way is to give them your details when they ask for them, another way is to accept the paperwork when they give it to you. Another way of giving your consent is to answer any of his questions. You might notice that when ever the cop

I was sitting in may car in a car park and a guy in a new C class Mercedes pulls up next to me. He says he is the regional sales manager for Mercedes. Instantly, I'm thinking, why are you driving a C180, the regional sales manager would be driving an E or S class, not a bottom of the range C class. He says, when Mercedes sell a new car to someone they give them an expensive designer watch and he has not given them to the customers and now has a boot full of expensive designer watches that he wants to sell cheap to make himself a few extra quid. Now I'm thinking that the regional sales manage

The Eibach ARB kit comes complete with mounting brackets and extra long bolts to fit the rear ARB to the rear beam. The kit doesn't come with any instructions but it's quite straightforward to fit. If you have any trouble, I'm sure some peeps on here could give you some pointers. I'm not a mechanic and I didn't fit mine but the rear one does look quite easy and doesn't take long to fit (20 mins) unlike the front which requires dropping the subframe, the front is quite a big job and you need to know what you are doing. Another thing I have just thought of is your bushes. I don't know how old yo

I would suggest fitting some Eibach Anti-roll bars. This will stiffen it a bit and make it roll less round the corners and it will handle much better but you will still have normal suspension so it won't be bang and crash like a lowered car. My car has standard VR6 coil springs with Koni sport adjustable dampers and Eibach anti-roll bars and it handles very well and isn't as uncomfortable as a lowered car but it's stiffer than standard and therefore it's not as comfortable as standard. The standard VR6 suspension is set up for comfort rather than sport. The Ibiza is probably set up to be more

I have found the wheels I want. Compomotive ML 15x8 With Toyo T1R 205/50 R15 It will look like the mk3 estate at the top of this page. I really like these wheels, they have an old skool retro rally look to them. I think they look good with bigger profile tires on and because you see them on old rally cars that had big tires and lots of room under the arch, I think they will look good on a car that is not so low.

I have been looking at wheels. I'm thinking that I want some 16's Ideally I want something that looks a bit like a standard wheel. I found this picture of a mk3 golf and I really like the wheels. They look a bit similar to mk3 GTi alloys (Longbeach??) but have a bit of a dish. I really like them because they look like GTi wheels but a bit fatter. I think they really suit the car and would like to find some. Does anyone know what they are?

Today I swapped the Brakes for the EBC grooved and Greenstuff that I had on my old car and I swapped the ARB for the Eibach ARB from the old car. I have also swapped the wheels to see what it looks like with the 17's on it. I'm not sure about wheels yet. Maybe standard, maybe GTI wheels, probably a nice set of 16's I think. I'm going to keep the original BBS wheels in the garage at the moment and drive it with these 17's on for a bit. The brakes are so much better than standard and they work much better on the new car rather than the old. The ARB's have done exactly what they say they do and
