    had black smoke coming out of mine when i started it up aswell,been told that means its running rich,is your oil air cooled ie mocal oil cooler or still water cooled?

    just went for a little run and its a good feeling to know i built this,thanks to kevhaywire for his in depth thread,jim potter for all the help he's given and will of course still give,next on the list: 4wheel alignment,ride height,boost leaks,coolant leaks ect ect

    to tell you the truth i dont know exactly how much its all cost but its not over the 2k mark,will write a list of all i can remember for ya mate

    after months with no life im pleased to say the vrt lives,fired it up and it started first time after i built up oil pressure,few little issues but should be sorted in a day or two,cant wait to go for a run

    i've fitted some slimline fans with two wires but the original fan had three pins,colours are brown,red and grey,red and white,my question is which two of the three wires do i connect? cheers
