  1. i saw rokkor racing collies in vw performance and someones running them on the club and they're only £160 on ebay but he made an offer and got them for £145,no experience on how they ride though..
  2. just get some decent spacers and bolts that are long enough to make up the difference
  3. has anyone used this before,if yes give us some feedback please http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=260353667704&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT#ht_4289wt_714
  4. put the links up mate and im sure one of the usual experts will have something to say about them, anything about FI/boost and they're on it like a rash, lol
  5. in that case i would change the whole cv joint, inner and outer
  6. could be mate and i would think it being bent would cause some vibration aswell
  7. looks good mate,i was told get something with an AR of 70 or above
  8. seen these in vw performance mag and checked them out, cheers for the info mate £145 it is then...
  9. i've got the 12000k kit but if you want pure white then 4000-6000 is said to be your best option, got mine off ebay from china and havent had any problems with them..
  10. as above does anyone know about these things http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/OBX-RACE-ALUMINUM-INTAKE-MANIFOLD-VW-VR6-12V-DUAL-RAIL-_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQhashZitem335cd085afQQitemZ220600501679QQptZMotorsQ5fCarQ5fTruckQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories#shId
  11. coz the 1.8 is only a 4pot so it wouldn't work, dont know what the 3.2 TT inlet looks like though but im interested aswell found this on fleebay today http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/OBX-RACE-ALUMINUM-INTAKE-MANIFOLD-VW-VR6-12V-DUAL-RAIL-_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQhashZitem335cd085afQQitemZ220600501679QQptZMotorsQ5fCarQ5fTruckQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories#shId
  12. i take it you would be referring to the 3.2 and not the 1.8t TT?
  13. has anyone seen or used these before? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/OBX-RACE-ALUMINUM-INTAKE-MANIFOLD-VW-VR6-12V-DUAL-RAIL-_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQhashZitem335cd085afQQitemZ220600501679QQptZMotorsQ5fCarQ5fTruckQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories#shId
  14. thats just an insult, they should be given at least a 15yr stretch in belmarsh
  15. you've just answered my question on what injectors i should get,i've been looking around at various sizes and just saw these on fivemotorsport, where did you get yours from and whats the damage?
  16. [blockquote][/blockquote]tyranneous wrote ... Hang on. FSI engines that are normally aspirated run at 12:1... think like that Kia advert.... 10!!!!!! 10!!! IS DEFINITELY LOWER THAN 12!!!! So that'll be lowered compression then? Well done, I see you have a basic grasp of mathematics. You fail to mention turbo engines of the 70s/80s ran 8:1 or lower compression, so 10:1 and 1.2 bar is still high compression for a turbo engine. And VR6 turbos are often 8.5:1 or 9:1, which is lower than 10!!!!!! [blockquote][/blockquote] now now :-d
  17. just read through your build, its amazing, mine wont be as clean but keep the updates coming mate and what injectors are you running?
  18. all the garrett turbo's i've seen have garrett moulded on the cold side but im not a specialist, lol
  19. [blockquote][/blockquote]Haha no way I am doing a national diploma in aerospace, in my second year, where do you work? And my project is to produce around 300hp[blockquote][/blockquote] you can get 300hp with a good charger setup, you'll have to use a small turbo to get a low max figure of 300hp with a turbo but as the experts told me you dont want it spooling too early coz you'll run out of boost early, plus the gearbox could be an issue
  20. i dont really know but i was told you de-comp to gain more power/boost,so i dont see why not,one of the FI boffins will be along to answer this question...
  21. yh but if i was you i would change the entire thermostat housing with o-rings aswell because the plastic gets brittle over time and could crack when its being removed
