  1. it sounds a bit extravagent, but you may want to buy a cheap panel to practise on, better you make your mistakes on an old fiesta bonnet than the VR6
  2. is it rotary or random orbit? rotary can take some practise to get proficient at
  3. start off with the least aggressive combo and work your way up till you get the result you want on one area, you want the finest polish and the softest pad you can while still getting the result, then you know what combo to do the whole car in, dont apply a lot of pressure especially in corners youll burn through the paint in a second if you arent careful and keep moving at a steady rate to not build up too much heat, and you want to work the polish until its nearly completely disappeared. make sure your cloths are the cleanest things you ever saw in your life, you dont want to polish the bonn
  4. google seems to say that a stage 2 is about 8psi. the proper test you need to do, assuming that your remap is a good one that isnt too rich or too lean, is to get a set of 6 and 7. Run the 7 heat and if it runs fine leave them in for a couple of hundred miles then take one out and have a look at it, if it looks a dusty grey its bang on and you should leave the 7 range in. Black carbon buildup (wet or dry) means its too cool and the hotter 6 would be better, swap them for the 6 heat and in another 200 miles pull one out and check again, if its still black go to the 5 range, which it isnt going
  5. the general rule is for every 10psi run 1 range cooler
  6. everyones been buying up the audi A2 1.4TDIs, never seen any of them for years and they are all over the place now
  7. i only enterd it to get the academy car, im under no illusion that i would set a great time with my DS3 and limited play time
  8. In the harrogate area we have dark coloured unmarked Audi A4s, silver BMW 5 series unmarked, a couple of silver impreza STI, 1 subtley liveried and one unmarked, many silver discoveries, some unmarked some stickered up and a load of burgundy focuses, seeing as no one else ever bought a burgundy focus ever they stick out a mile
  9. i wondered that if it doesnt exit it has been struck off, but theres a car on my history that i bent in half and thats on there listed as unlicensed and a VIC marker set
  10. think they are all much of a muchness, personally i use isopropyl alcohol as it leaves no residue
  11. http://www.mister-solutions.co.uk/bkr5e-ngk-spark-plug-116-p.asp get these if you arent bothered changin them every 20k instead of every 40k. They are single instead of dual contact so if you get these get a feeler gauge couple of quid and gap them to 0.8mm BKR5EUP are 40k change original equipment replacement for an OBD2 VR6 BKR5EU are OE for OBD1 Just use the top for standard engine, supercharged you may want to go 1 or 2 cooler, which is the same BKR^E but 6 or 7, the higher the number the cooler the plug and with a 0.6mm gap
  12. it says a couple of my cars didnt exist but all my other ones are still on the road apart from the ones i wrote off myself
  13. I train naturally, only supps I take are protein and vitamins and don't really have a desire to take roids. Just ive seen more and more of this happening, I know it's basically down to poor hygiene rather than the gear itself
  14. If you want awesome handling and customisation can't go wrong with kw but they're expensive, if you're on more if a budget ap are very good for the money and for coilovers have good comfort. I have ap on mine no idea how low it is from standard but I have it as low as it will go so it doesn't catch on anything, I was lower but kept losing my front splitter on a steep junction I take every day
  15. You get a similarly aged jap car and it will be as much if not more trouble
  16. up to about 110-114 is still the high end of fine
  17. this is what you get when you buy your gear from the guy in the alley have you ever seen the clips called the man whose arms exploded about that frickin nuts guy who shot himself up with needles that had been on the floor? dont say i didnt warn you, this is some extreme gross stuff http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EY9HP1Kmx9k&feature=related
  18. its all possible yea, but its the same effort to fit an R32 engine too
  19. doesnt matter, they arent gonna fit, totally different
  20. is it worth about 4 times the price it takes to put 312mm discs on though? you would still be using the stock caliper so you wouldnt be gaining any caliper pressure like you would with a small diameter 4 pot setup, youd only be gaining braking surface diameter force, and only 10mm more than a much cheaper run of the mill 312mm setup
  21. The black cylinder if plastic should be connected to the boot central locking cylinder, then when the cylinder is actuated with the central locking it should push ad pull the black part, rotating it to either engage with the button or be moved out of the way so it doesn't open the boot when the car is locked
  22. Fitted a centre sun visor as it is always the place where the sun sits, it is a brilliant addition and helps massively when it's sunny. I cut 2 lengths of metal 1"x 5" and taped them together then drilled the holes in the relevant locations, I found 1 thickness not sturdy enough to take the unfolding of the hinge without flexing. This I put on top of the headlining in front of the interior light to act as a load spreading base and bracket to screw the visor onto. Then i just poked the visor screw and locating spike through the headliner and screwed it to my drilled strip. It is very solid and
  23. Wire them up to the wires at the tweeters, then use the standard wiring that already rubs through the multi connector at the door
