About a week and I stumbled upon mine, I was looking for a late 3dr VR but that was my only stipulation, then I came across the one I bought and it had recaros, my favourite BBS alloys and was black magic, which was the perfect car for me and exactly what I would have done anyway, it was the first one I viewed in person and I bought it. It had its problems, someone had jacked it up in the middle and split the sills so they needed replacing but I got the car with the view to stripping it and re doing anything I came across anyway, it was just a few more things than I first thought lol

  3. i went all fast road on mine and it was possibly the best money ive spent on the car. Im of the camp that if you only swapped one for an uprated mount, it would place more stress on the other 2, accelerating wear
  4. Lookin very nice, and some nice work getting her back on top, I have never seen a black corrado, they're always blue or green or even sometimes burgundy, mostly blue tho

  7. i have EBC mk4 GTI/4motion pads, as the 288mm and 312mm pads are identical, they had wear indicators and i just cut them off. If not cant you just jumper the connector to put the light out
  8. theres tons of info about on R32 conversions knocking about on the internet, havent really seen one for just going to the 2.8 24v though
  9. yea the DDI dials are nice but hellish expensive and having to choose either the american one with the fahrenheit temp gauge or the euro one with KMH speedo would bother the hell out of me, why cant they do a UK one with MPH and Celsius |-) Do you mean the lights to be white or the LCDs to be white? if its just the lights in the top you could just replace them with leds quite easily

    Once youve found if theres any damage, if there is id get an engineers report and I'd be on the phone telling them that on the rescue mans "expert guidance" this damage happened, any fool who knows enough to get a job driving a rescue van should have instantly seen that its the accessory belt and further driving could potentially fcuk the engine!!! I'm quite angry for you so can only imagine how much you are
  11. sounds like the low pressure warning light, i would get a new low pressure sender for the couple of quid they are and see if it solves it
  12. i bought a brand new proper VR6 one from VW in about august, it was exactly the same as my original one
  13. know what you mean lol the gf just got a 56 audi A3 sport TDI after some tool drove into the side of her focus and the first thing we did was take the low spec grille off and fit the spare and much better looking S-Line grille i had in my shed lol
  14. An open cone filter will suck in hot under bonnet air, resulting in loss of power, but it will sound awesome. If you dont want to lose any power you would need an enclosed filter such as the forum favourite - BMC CDA

  16. The rear is over braked as it is with those tiny discs, bigger rear brakes would just exacerbate this
  17. you do know theres an oil temp on the MFA? it would make a simpler much cleaner install by just replacing the low pressure sender ? jussayin

  19. I too got nowhere trying to ring them up and just got their "we are doing all we can" speech message for like 2 days straight. I PM'd them in the end and got sorted but yea it would have been nice to speak on the phone
